*Update: the sensor did not work after the install, there is 0 reading from the sensor. The OEM at minimum moved the gauge* 2000 7.3L. The extruding tab opposite of the holding tab did not line up with the OEM slot on the plug; the top tab had to be shaved off with a razor for this item to fit. The fit is very tight and takes some force to connect, but the holding/release tab functions as intended. The red thread sealer left shavings at the bottom of the port after installation.

I had issues with my 1998 F150 4.2 truck, it doesn't show any code with scanner, but scanner live data shows engine coolant temperature is negative, and I can't start truck right after first start (or warm engine), truck running very rough. On cluster temperature gauge showing good temp reading. Problem was this sensor which send the signal to PCM. After replacing this sensor truck running well.

Connector fit is very tight. OEM plug is much too tight and barely could be inserted.Design needs improvement. Otherwise works well.

Plug does not fit over 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 sensor. Company should read its own reviews and short it out or remove vehicle lists. Don't waste your money

Check the electrical connector before installing. The fit was too tight but after filing down the plastic connector and addingA small amount of silicone lubricant The electrical connector worked fine

after leaving a 1 star review I realized this is a sensor not a sender. They are separate. This tells your ECU the temp of your engine NOT YOUR GAUGE ON DASHBOARD. do your research, I guarantee half of these bad reviews are people just like me who put it in the wrong place. They are practically identical.

These did not fit my stock 1996 Mustang Pigtails - AND THAT'S WHEN IT STARTS TO GET EXPENSIVE...I HAVE HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER SITE. New pigtails, and two new - ones that work - temp sensors. These did not fit my stock 1996 Mustang.

I would have given 5 stars however when plugging in it was a bit snug. OEM tends to be easier fit. Regardless it works well on my 1999 Mercury Sable DOHC V6.
