My husband made industrial pipe curtain rods for our new grommet curtains. While he took every precaution to smooth the piping, the curtains didn't flow smoothly upon opening and closing. The 1" glide tape was just what we needed. Wow! What a difference this glide tape made. It's great and easy to put on. The thickness and smoothness of the tape is just right. Like others mentioned, be sure you put it on straight the first time since it sticks really well. We found that if you press in the center of the tape first and then slide outward prevents any bunching or creasing in the tape. I highly recommend this tape if you want free flowing curtains upon opening and closing.

Sometimes you try a product, hoping for the best but expecting much less. And sometimes, you’re pleasantly surprised. This is one of times.The rods in my closet are two piece telescoping jobbers, with a split in the middle. This split made for an aggravating bump any time I slid the clothes hangers back and forth. I considered many times covering that bump with packing tape but never got around to it. Then I saw this purpose-made tape and decided to give it a try. It was a bit of a pain applying it but once done, not only do the hangers not catch on the hump, they also slide considerably easier. It’s like the rods are now Teflon coated.I know this sounds like a lot of hoopla for just a thick, slippery tape, but it really does make an appreciable difference. This is good stuff.

I just put these on my curtain rod that was not only noisy, but difficult to slide the curtain in certain areas. The tape goes over the tube joints so now you don't have to fight with the curtain to go over that bump and close. It is also super quiet; it's basically muted. The tape is also SUPER sticky, to the point where I wanted to fix the position a little while installing and I couldn't detach it. So, hopefully these will stay there for a while and not fall off.

I was a little skeptical about this product, but now I understand it. This curtain glide tape is not your average tape. It's thick. It's easy to apply, and makes a huge difference in the smoothness of opening and closing my metal grommet curtains.Instructions weren't included, but all you need to do is apply a strip to the top of your curtain rod, along the whole length. This smooths out the bumps from changing thicknesses of rods. Since it's only on the top of the rod, you can't see it normally.Additionally, my curtain rod lost the little plastic ring that helps keep the small extension rod in place inside the larger rod. I was able to use this tape around the thinner rod to help with that problem.
