I change my strings monthly and this is much better than graphite. I use it on the saddles, the nut and the string guide. Good product

I acquired a 20 year old Gibson SG that refused to stay in tune, but before embarking on expensive repairs, I followed some advice I found on YouTube and got this product to lubricate the string slots on the nut. Voila! Problem solved! Definitely worth it.

Great product. Use this lubricant for everything. I used it on my bridge and nut but also on pivot contacts and tremelo arm cavity to stop squeezing or metal on metal noises.

The B string on my acoustic was getting bound in the nut, making it difficult to tune and making that dreaded "ping" when trying to do so. Used a little of this in the nut groove and problem solved!I like the syringe as it makes it easy and mess-free to dispense the product. The two different sized swabs make it neat and easy to get the lubricant into the nut groove and only in the groove (not all over your nut, fret board or headstock). The lube itself is a fairly thick gel consistency, so again, neat and easy. Doesn't drip or run and stays where you put it.You could use the syringe to apply the product directly into the nut, but I applied a tiny bit to the smaller swab and then used the swab to apply it to the nut groove. No mess, no fuss, no more string binding! You use so little of the product that I would imagine this tube will last years.

works well to lube nut ... particularly on guitars with vibrato (tremolo) bars ... to avoid string binding at the nut ... quite expensive however ...

I can't NOT use the Bigsby on my Gretsch however nothing can keep it in tune. A little of this in the nut and bridge keeps it in tune so well I wind up using the Bigsby even more! It does darken your tone slightly, which I like but others may not. I haven't tried Big Bends Nut Sauce (a similar product) but with the Planet Waves working so well for nearly half the price, I don't feel the need to. Great product! Fast shipping and best price from Amazon vendor cheapbandstuff.

While people assume that tuning problems are related exclusively to poor tuners, there are several other contact points between the bridge and tuners that are a more likely cause of tuning issues. If you hear a "plinking" sound as you tune a string (or while bending), that's the sound of the string getting caught up on the nut or string trees, which then causes it to go out of tune. There are several lubricant options available on the market. You can also use graphite from a pencil as a dry lubricant, and I've even heard of people using Vasoline/Chap Stick mixed with other things. But for a slight premium, the Planet Waves Lubricant works extremely well. You get syringe contain lubricant, and two applicator wands/brushes that can fit in the small grooves of the nut. Also apply it in the bridge saddles or anywhere else the string makes contact. It'd be nice to get more lubricant for the money, but use in moderation and it should last for awhile. Works well.
