Dap Inc Cedar Sealant made with an advanced polymer formula delivers excellence performance and is permanently flexible, paintable, contains no shrink and virtually no VOC's. Designed for use on siding and windows and ideal for vinyl, fiber cement, aluminum and wood siding. Conveniently features wet weather and low temperature application. Product meets ASTM specification C920 and covers 50 lin. ft. at 3/16" dia. bead.

The product was completely dried in the unopened cartridge about 3 months after purchase. It was a bad sign when I punctured the seal and no caulk stuck to the rod. Tried to get it to flow with a Albion Engineering Company B26 B-Line Manual Cartridge Caulking Gun and all that happened was a buldge at the back of the cartridge. I can't recommend purchasing this product. I decided to try OSI® QUAD® MAX.

Day I received it, cut the tip, punctured the seal, if there was one, nothing would come out. Was able to stick some wire into the tube, but it came out clean every time so the caulk was not fully hardened, but was not going to flow. The tip already had a cross perforation on it, but I believe there was a seal inside it so that wasn't the problem. Even ruined a cheap caulk gun trying to squeeze anything out of it, nothing happened, huge waste of time.

My husband opened the caulk tube on 7-17-21. I was happy that my shed doors were finally going to be re caulked after we had painted them. The caulk was hard and could not use. I went on Amazon today to see if I could return it. I am unable to return because it is past the return period by 4 days. I will never buy caulk online again. Home Depot did not carry the clay color I needed. I will now have to search around to find matching color. Another project on our list not totally completed

Tried the first tube and it would not come out. When I punctured the seal, the product was dry on the rod, but hoped that was some accumulated amount the seal. None would come out with the caulk gun. Tried the second tube and the same issue. Must be old stock they are selling.

This product is excellent! It applies easier to apply than a silicone and has all the pro’s of a latex but is able to be applied regardless of the forecast. The weather has been harder to predict in the past couple of years- the forecast will have 0% chance of rain for 3 days and still I’ve had caulking projects that have failed after hours of work because a sudden storm will pop up, pour down for 20 min, and the integrity of the seal is destroyed. Silicone is a PIA to use and it always looks dirty to me or is obvious when it’s been painted. This takes paint beautifully, is easy to clean up even after it’s cured, can be used on wet/damp surfaces, and isn’t weather dependent allowing it to be applied regardless of the temp or precipitation forecasted. Highly recommend!

Excellent product but 'workability' as described in some reviews may be over-rated. It applies well but not to my experience differently than other good caulks. Color options are diverse and allowed me to match our weathered cedar siding perfectly.

I ordered this caulk before i opened up a professional account at a construction supply house so the price was almost double a professional quality tube. Thats why i took away a star. But regardless the color is hard to find else where so this was there when i needed it. it matched my certain-teed siding trim of Natural clay almost perfectly. will have to see if it holds up the heat of the summer and frigid cold of the winter. but hey its caulk if it dosent it has to be redone, nothing new there
