It does the job that it's intended for. It might be something to consider for future to have something underneath it so it doesn't look so stark sitting there. Also would be nice if there was a black one and a white one. All in all though I would buy it again just as it is.

As an avid smart home enthusiast, I just today added the black walnut wood stand for my Echo 4th Gen to my setup. Attractive walnut wood legs and metal base with soft cushion for your Echo 4th Generation smart speaker.This is for the 4th gen echo, not the 4th gen echo dot. I didn't realize this until I got it and found out that my echo dot does not have a hole in the bottom for it to be mounted on this stand. I can still use it by just sitting my echo on the stand, but I am not able to mount it securely or use the feature of being able to wrap excess cable around the metal ring base. Again, this was my mistake for not realizing there are 2 echo devices named 4th gen and they have the same round design. Be sure you have the echo 4th gen and not the 4th gen echo dot before ordering this, or you won't be able to mount your speaker to the base. You can still use it as a stand for your dot though.

I know, I know... if I said it was "great", then why only 4 stars?! I have two reasons for this removal of 1 star from my rating. First, why I think that this is a great holder for my Amazon Echo. This stand/holder/mount came almost fully assembled and is sturdy while looking stylish. Raising your Echo up a little like with this stand, you will get a better sound effect while listening to music. There is a thin padded/soft layer to help protect the bottom of your Echo, which is also where all of the information for the device is located. Now onto the bad things about this. The first is that I kept finding these little black pieces coming off from it. Even in the box, there was a bunch, and it kept falling all over. I think it was some type of leftovers from the foam layer, but not sure. It's not a big deal, but it makes me a little concerned. The other reason is partially my own fault. I forgot that the bottoms of the Echo devices have a screw mount, so I first took the bolt off from the wire management plate and tried to screw the mount together. A nice holder for an Echo 4th gen.It's a simple design, and a small profile. It does exactly what it needs to: lifts the Echo 4 off the surface a little bit. No big bulky, ugly plastic protruding everywhere, just thee small wooden legs. It has a nice overall appearance.I like the small profile, simple design, and a nice feature is the "disk" underneath that is a cord-keeper. If you have excess cord, you can wrap it up under this disk, and it keep a cleaner install. The disk has little notches to hold the cord as well.
