The larger pipes, low-restriction mufflers, and tuned resonators of a well-designed performance exhaust system can make a world of difference on your vehicle. The net result is lower auto exhaust backpressure, more horsepower, more torque, and a much better sound.

The muffler makes a strange sound, it turned out that where the pipes are welded to the muffler, there is a space inside between the weld and the muffler and it rings

Installed on a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4 because the 3rd catalytic converter was plugged and causing significant back pressure. This is not a Borla, which is my usual goto for aftermarket exhausts, however the price on this is super cost effective, which made it a no-brainer. This straight pipe replacement system was exactly what I needed to eliminate the troublesome 3rd Cat. Incidentally, it also eliminates the resonator and replaces the OEM muffler and tip. Couple of install notes: 1: This install assumes you are going to remove the threaded studs out of the mid-pipe and install their bolts and nuts. It's much easier to drill out the holes on this first new section of pipe from this kit, and use the OEM studs (larger diameter than supplied bolts) and nuts. From there, the rest bolts on naturally with included hardware. 2: Rattles. The aftermarket hangers are not perfect. For example, the length of the very end of the muffler hanger is too long, so it taps against the frame under various vibration conditions. I solved this by putting a clamp on the inside portion of the hanger rod to force the rubber hanger to the outside of the rod. The pull of the pipe alignment then forces the hanger rod end further away from the frame. Also, since there are multiple connector flanges now (instead of one long pipe), the rear-most connector flange does not have adequate clearance under the body heat shield towards the back sub frame. I used a piece of old radiator hose (folded once), pulled the pipe down a bit, and shoved it in between the flange and the heat shield. This resolved the last of the rattles for me. The radiator hose is holding up fine to the heat that far back on the pipe.Overall, this was a great product for the money, and I recommend it especially if you are trying to eliminate the cat and resonator. I cut open the cat after I had it removed, and its screens were almost completely plugged, so this swap out significantly freed up the exhaust flow. The exhaust note is a bit louder and a bit raspier, but it's not too obnoxious.

Don't think about buying it, just do it. I originally had a muffler delete and was looking for something to spice my car up. I saw a YouTube video about it and bought it right away. This set up was easy to install and I did have to drill/bore out the pipe connecting to the catalytic converter. Which was easy and well worth it. It comes with the gaskets and is a straight pipe design. It sounds AMAZING the cold start is wayyy better than what I could ever imagine. And when I can't help but accelerate all the time because of the sound. Overall easy to install, great sound and felt a slight increase in hp. Also get a K&N air filter either a regular one or a cold air intake.
