This DORMAN lower steering shaft is described to fit H3 hummer models. From the size comparison. OEM parts is a little shorter. After I installed it. Fitment is no problem, but it made knocking noise to the fire wall. 1st I thought it was just a dud, defective item as one of the other feedbacks mentioned. So I ordered a replacement and tried it again. Same exact problem happened. I gave up and bought OEM and problem solved. I'm writing this review to mention the problem out of a good conscience so that DORMAN and customer will notice the situation and avoid any future complications.

Slop in the slip joint caused noise to radiate up the shaft and vibrate the firewall and pedals.I put the 130,000mile original back in and the noise went away.I have used doorman shafts in the past and had no problem but this one is a dud and outside the return window.
