The harmonic balancer fit the vehicle properly and seems to be a good quality part.

I knew I needed this part and when my car broke down and took it to the mechanic shop I already had this part. They didn't 100% trust the part which is understandable so we compared the part they would order vs mine. From their "sources" it would be $250. I said no just use mine. When the job was done they still charged me for their part. I corrected the mistake and easily got a refund, but they told the mistake happened because it looked like one of their parts. 🤔

Toyota dealer did timing belt and water pump $2400! and showed the harmonic balancer was bad and wanted $650 for a new toyota one. I told them no way. $3000 on a repair of a $5000 car is insane. So I watched some videos and installed my Dorman for less than a 1/3 of the cost from Toyota.

Perfect fit for my 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Being a hybrid it has no accessory belt, so the harmonic balancer swap only took about 20 minutes!

Fairly easy installation. I was lucky that the crank bolt came out easily. The dampening in the old part was bad and you could see it move slightly when the engine was running.Mine was for a 2005 Toyota Highlander V6

Bore has a step 1/3 of the way in to under crankshaft diameter. Supplied key is larger than key way on both shaft and balancer. Rubber appears like several sections glued together. Paint peels off on contact. Never had problems with Dorman products and at about $100; they are not the cheapest out there. Now I'm stuck with a chunk of steel and rubber since the return period expired 6 days ago.

price was good and unit seemed well made; This is a lot less expensive then the Toyota factory unit, but well made as an aftermarket part. Havedriven over thirty thousand miles on the car since I changed this with no problems. The person who did my timing belt change bent my original harmonic balancer so I had to buy this one. I had to sent the first one back because i did not see the mounting hole, but turned out it was just covered up by "rubberized material, so i probably did not have to send back the first one (second unit looke the same). The original factory harmonic balancer was about five times the cost of this.Update now have about 2 years on this with no problems and no wobble as of jan 2016, changing my rating to five starsNOTE: make sure the person who does the timing belt with water pump job uses the proper toyota crankshaft removal tool or your harmonic balancer could be bent like mine was. That was not fun!
