This is a highly engineered replacement part. All the dimensions match the original piece and match the original 'mounting holes' in my 2001 Pontiac Bonneville. Great Engineering here! The materials appear First-Class in Quality, sturdy and machined perfectly for fit and function! BUT... there are no installation instructions....(imagine the task of describing all the possible scenarios for removal and re-installation, for all the various GM cars over the quarter century time span I had to deal with!) BUT, BUT, BUT There are very good Videos on UTube showing the removal and installation of these parts in different cars. Dorman has been a friend for a long while for me, they created the replacement 'window regulators' my aging vehicles eventually needed....... again GREAT JOB! PERFECT FIT! Kudos Dorman! Gosh, I cannot wait, until something else ages-out (just kidding)

Part was a significantly discounted open box part; I used my God given talents to make it work. The motor drive arm I received in the box had the wrong twist angle and would pop off the ball joints. Although the length and twist angle of the old motor drive arm was correct, the ball joint sockets on the old arm were too large for the replacement balls on the new assembly. I drilled out and removed the old sockets from the original arm, filed four slots on each end to accomodated the locking pins on the Dorman replacemet sockets I purchased separately in a 10 pack assortment, and snapped arm into place. After modifications, assembly works as good or better than original arm and I saved $100 or more.

Drive arm will not bolt to motor because the angle is insufficient. It should be twisted to about 45 degrees. I spoke to the Dorman technical team and they said there have been no problems reported and it may just be a manufacturing problem with this one. I ordered another one to see. Received another and mount was broken probably because it was in a single box.
