I had a leaky axle seal and when I removd the axle, it had a little wear. I replaced the bearings and seals, but it leaked again. Could not find a speedy sleeve to fit the stock axle, so bought this Dorman one. Fixed the leak.

Purchased for a 2002 trans Am automatic trans non traction control. This is a complete kit Axle, bearings, seals and studs the bearings are USA made was happy about that installation was straight forward no issues, I also installed new C clips I have to stay very happy with my decision to purchase these Dorman axle shaft kit, I recommend this kit to all that need to replace the axle and bearings /seals, I just would like to add the label on the box stated all components made in the USA if that’s true this was a great deal too be able to buy American made automotive replacement parts.******Update driven vehicle for about 25 days 950 miles my original issues of noises are gone and no leaks

Used this to repair a bent axle on a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 with a manual transmission. I am not sure what options would make the axle shaft length any different. The vehicle does have ABS if that makes a difference.I ended up using bearings purchases from an auto parts store, mostly because they typically have better quality, though these did not seem to be of poor quality, I just wanted consistency on either side since only one side needed the axle replaced.Several thousand miles and it keeps chugging away, so I can only imagine it is good to go.

Nearly exact to OEM dimensionally and appearance wise. Good quality seal and a US made bearing comes with it. Shaft is made in India... Comes well protected. Takes longer to press in the wheel studs than to install the axle. Lug nuts look like OEM too. Don't waste your time with a repair bearing if you have a Camaro or Firebird with a Torsen diff. Spend the $90 extra and get a new axle and you will not have any C clip install or removal issues in the future.

Needed these for my 2001 Firebird. I ended up doing a partial rebuild at first and realized I killed the old axels after installing new bearings. Worth the time and cost to do it yourself. Replace in pairs, its a pain to do a rebuild twice.I destroyed the original axel when I was pissed off and did burn out in the neighborhood. 60 feet of smoking the tires on 15 year old axels will do that lol.

I purchased 2 of these, and had them installed on my 2002 Camaro RS with the 3800 V6 engine. My car had a rumbling sound at about 30 - 40 mph. With the axles replaced, runs quiet now.

It said it would fit my 1999 camaro with NO traction control, the shaft was 3 inches too short, never again will I order this kind of parts from amazon unless they post the schematics and specs (blueprints with dimensions) to be absolutely sure it will fit. on the other hand, delivery was fast. I sent back the part and got a used one from a wrecking yard at 1/3 the price though...
