At first was looking at parts individually until I found this kit with a great overall price. Everything needed including wheel studs and lugs. Took the guess work out by supplying a quality bearing with seal that is matched for the housing and axle shaft. Perfect fit. Recommend!

Shocked that these ratings are so high! FORD axles lasted 500K+, the last 2, YES I SAID TWO!, of THESE lasted about 35K each. Don't let the price fool you. You will be replacing AGAIN if you put any real mileage on them. JUNK! Just spend a few extra bucks and get a different brand. FYI, the first ones came from Amazon, the second came from Advance Auto Parts. No difference despite the paperwork stating a new hardness of the second axles. 2003, F150, Screw, 4x4.

Ordered this with the criteria of my truck and it said it would fit. When I received it the axle and bearing were correct and fit perfect. But the other hardware (seal ,studs, and lugs ) were not. I called Dorman and talked to a technician and told him the part that were wrong and that I needed to complete my installation. He couldn’t have been more rude and belittling. After I told him I already had the axle and bearing installed and gave him the spec’s for what I needed. He said he needed the information off the axle and that I had the wrong one ford made many. I again told him I already had it installed. Instead of calling back I went to the local auto parts store and bought what I needed to finish the job even though I was supposed to get them with the purchase.

I'm very pleased with the axle shaft. It fit just fine, even though it doesn't have the exact same diameters along the length as the OEM shaft that I removed. (The Dorman product has some different tapers, but it doesn't affect functionality. The required diameters appear to be correct.) One word of caution: I opened the box from the end and removed the shaft. Next I went to the auto parts store to get the bearing, seal, and lug bolts. After I finished the axle shaft installation, when I went to throw away the box, I noticed it was heavier than an empty box should be. That is when I noticed a hidden bottom on the other end of the box that contains the bearing, seal, and lug bolts. I assumed the other items weren't included with the axle shaft since the price was half of what the auto parts stores were charging for their shaft+seal+bearing+lug bolts. Make sure you tear through that box to ensure it really is empty!Summary: product is great. Watch out for included items that might be not obvious.

The axle shaft fit perfectly with no issues and seems to be a quality part, along with the included bearing, seal, lug studs and lug nuts.
