I have a 2003 mustang 3.8 v6 that has had ticking noise since new. It started as just a 30 second or so annoyance and went away when the car warmed up to eventually doing it all the time and getting worse the harder you hit the gas. I finally decided to go with this replacement part because Dorman is a well known auto part maker and has good quality. The only bad thing about this part that I read from other reviewers was that the gasket didn't fit. That's true if you try to install it the same direction of the factory metal one. I turned it upside down and it fit perfectly. Bolted right up. Started the car and the ticking sound was completely gone. Test drove it and even at highway speeds it sounds great. Great part. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has the same issue. It took me about 2½ hours to replace. Use plenty of pb blaster or wd40 on the bolts that mate this header to the catalytic converter and use a compact to get those off. Header to motor nuts and studs came out without using any spray and just a ratcheting wrench and socket set. Well worth the time and effort.

Replaced the stock split manifold on my 2004 Mustang 3.8L. Ford has a known issue with the original part - the weld at the exhaust end. Dorman fixed the issue and this manifold is far superior to the Ford replacement. Came with the gasket which was a nice touch. Be sure to order new studs and nuts along with anti-seize compound and you are good to go.

Great exhaust manifold replacement for a 1999 Ford Mustang. Fit perfectly, and worked perfectly. The only issue I found was product consistency. I purchased these kits for both sides, but they looked nothing alike, almost like they were produced by different companies. One had a weld line all they way down the main pipe, while the other was a solid tube. Also, one came in a nice, chrome-like appearance, while the other was almost black. Minor issues, as they're not visible once installed. And they both work great. Would definitely but from them again.

After some online research i figured out that the ticking noise my car was making had to be a cracked manifold.Got this on Amazon $30.00 cheaper than all the local parts stores.Installation wasn't too bad and sure enough the ticking noise is gone.Comes with gasket and 2 new studs to attach exhaust with.Very happy!
