Easy to install. Soaking the mounting bolts with penetrating oil a few days ahead helps. Nice. Now I have my box empty again 👍

The second time I used this the gears stripped out on it. It would not lift the tire. I ended up having to cut off the cable.

The one I got was garbage. Lowered once to attach to spare tire on the ground, never went back up, just spun ... returned, went to junkyard and got used Ford one for 1/10 the price and works perfectly...

I bought a used 2010 Lariat and the stock tire hoist had the end rusted off. Got this one, slid under the back end, took the old one off with a 13mm ratchet - took a few seconds to rotate the old assmebly around so I could completely remove it through the open space. Put the new one in, it fit easily, I reused the old bolts, cranked the spare tire up and it worked as good as new. Entire process took 15 minutes.
