Mine arrived a day late. And after opening what looked like a brand new box, had stuff on it like if it was laying on carpet, and back UL labe had hair embedded. As of today, item does say it is out of stock. Maybe I got the "last" one.Well, it's just going to hang there on the wall. But I like the swinging plug, and the direction of the socket is what I needed most. Now the big brick for the vacuum cleaner charger is tucked against the wall, much cleaner looking. USB plug is 2.4amps. This is fast charging for phones about 4-5 generations ago. It is not fast charging for today. I try not to get outlet extensions with USB slots to due ever changing power consumption. But this was a good deal, and enough power for old USB connecting devices.Despite the gross used feeling, and should get a discount if used, at least described that way, it is very useful, and I don't really need to touch it much. I have their other 6 outlet version. Finally remember, if you have a Decora outlet, those do not have the middle screw to secure this to. But happy with the product.

The ability to rotate outlets to its side places the cord and plug in an optimal position to save space by lying flat. This unit also has USB outlets giving it more use.

Update: Customer service got in touch with me and sent me a replacement asap. I will note I have other echogear products and they have all lasted - this one must have just been the exception. Glad the 5 year warranty that comes with it was honoured and they were very quick to respond!Previous comments:Worked for just under 8 months. Worked great while it lasted - no real indicator as to why it failed, as the power in my area is very stable and never have brownouts etc. Other echogear products in the house did not die, only this one unit - which doesn't have much heavy load on it as well. Contacted manufacture and waiting for their response on if it is eligible still for replacement. Will update review on how the manufacture handles the situation.

This is one of the best all in one surge protector. You can charge it forward or turn the adaptor cubes to the side and charge it that way. This is an important feature for the type of chargers you’ll be using and where this protector will be used at. You get 4 regular for plug adapters and 2 usb adaptors. Everything in the feature works. At first I didn’t screw the proctor in. It I found that once I did, it was way easier to not have the whole thing come apart from the wall outlet when I’m just taking one or two or more charging cables out. The plug adaptor does hold on to the plugs well. Others are loose making the connection weak as well. Read before you buy. I bought this for just enough wires going into it. I’d be buying more if needed. The Customer Service is great and responsive given a day or two to respond. Products are good, but what makes them better is the people who make and stand behind their products.

I have limited counter space in my wee kitchen and several appliances I wanted to fit near the outlet. I had to plug and unplug appliances as I used them, not at all convenient or efficient. Enter Echogear On-Wall Surge Protector, the affordable answer to my dilemma. With Echogear I am now able to have all my appliances plugged in at the same time and can even charge two devices with the USB ports at the bottom of the surge protector. I love the fact that you can turn the plug-ins to face to the side or forward. It really helps organize the power cords and looks much nicer than cords laying about. Just a note: It comes with a handy, lengthy screw to help solidly mount the product, but due to the design of my outlet cover, I was unable to use it. Suffice it to say, I've found the Echogear stays put and have had no trouble with it moving or coming out of the outlet, even without the mounting screw. I recommend this product to anyone who needs to plug in more than two things at once and have found it extremely helpful in maximizing my limited space.

As you can see from the pics I needed something that could accommodate some HUGE plugs and protect my sensitive equipment - my modem, my TP-Link Adapter et al - from electrical surges. This Echogear product solves all those issues. The biggest being the ability to position the outlets so that those huge plugs would not block each other. (As an aside, I'm a bit curious as to why the review suggestion enquired about "traveling". I won't say that you cannot travel with this product but normally I suspect one wouldn't. Actually a screw is provided with the product to ensure stability as it is very bulky and well-built in order to hold that many plugs as well as provide surge protection.) If you have a similar problem to the one I've described at the onset of this review, you should take my advice and get this Echogear Surge Protector.

I needed something like this. I had a surge suppressor in an outlet that a basically an extension cord with extra plugs. Not very nice looking or helpful. This was extremely easy to set up. Great instructions! I love that they included the extra long screw to attach it to the outlet. I needed a place to charge a device with a USB cord besides my computer since I don't always have it on. This is perfect for my device that the plug shorted out but the wire is still good. The device is plugged in and almost fully charged in just a few minutes. I also have a lamp and heating pad plugged into this. I like that the outlets rotate for sideways or larger transformer plugs. I did have to take off the outlet cover to get the screw to connect but the Protector covers the outlet so no messy look. Thanks!

This was bought for an inline hot water tank for added protection; We wanted something that did not stick out from the wall too much and was less cumbersome than a surge power bar. This fit the bill perfectly. NOTE: make sure the one you get has the prongs facing the right way around, as you can only put the plug in one way...we used this temporarily in another room and found that some plugs (audio / video attachment devices) could only be plugged in one way around, which still made the whole thing stick out from the wall further than you might want. I went and purchased another one with the prongs vertical rather than horizontal, and the problem was solved; things can get pushed closer to the wall.

I ordered 5 of these and 1 6 pivoting AC Outlets. I love these for cord management and surge protection!!! The USB ports are great for charging cell phones, laptops, etc. NO MORE BULKY ugly traditional surge protectors laying on the floor. I was so impressed I ordered 2 more. The pivoting AC outlets are a life saver for hard to reach places. I have a outlet in the bathroom where I was constantly unplugging something so I could plug in something else. These outlets solved the problem, and eliminates the need for additional electrical outlets to be installed. I consider these to be a must have for any home or office. Work great using smart home plugs that usually take up 2 sockets, no more extensions cords or trying to figure out where to plug everything. I appreciate that these filter dirty power and the peace of mind I have for electronics and smart tvs.
