Took 3 attempts by Amazon to get me one that worked but that wasn't their fault.Seems like Horizon Hobbies might want to take a look at their quality control.Once I got one that worked, I've thoroughly enjoyed the plane!

Feels like this really allows you to hone in your skills of flying slowly and really controlling the plane in accordance with the flying conditions. Has enough power to bail out of a hairy situation given its vertical ability is surprising. It’s pretty easy to destroy if you crash but cheap to fix. Not a thriller edf but certainly a must have back yard flyer and just fun.

Not a big fan of Horizon Hobby but they got it right with this one. For a small light airplane it flies great

The plane arrived with a missing battery hatch. I could have opted for a refund or exchange, but I decided to order a replacement part from the manufacturer. The rudder and elevator control rods needed adjustment out of the box (rudder neutral, elevator 1mm nose down - use a 1.5mm hex key to remove the rod ends). Some of the decals were wrinkled. This can be easily fixed with a sharp hobby knife. Pairing with my Radiomaster TX16S was straightforward and the aircraft flies well. It tracks straight on takeoff and landing; stall recoveries are easy; and, it handles like a (very nimble) trainer when low rates are used. The gear fairings contact the fuselage on landing and leave indentations. Trimming the fairings would prevent this. SAFE mode does an excellent job of levelling the aircraft in an emergency, but it has to be turned off for normal maneuvering. It is very aggressive. I am doing 6-7 minute flights on a 3s 300 mHa battery. I have not added flaperons; it flies quite slow without them. Overall, this is good choice for someone looking to advance their skills after mastering a basic trainer.

This has been my experience with E-flight TimbersMy first purchase was 2 years ago, my Turbo Timber was really allot of fun. I had many hours of flight time and it was a very good plane. However the Timber Eveloution was Not very sturdy, soft nose landings will crack the nose right off, very easily damaged with low speed crash. My 2nd Turbo Timber had to be sent back for a faulty servo, just kept glitching. When I received my replacment, I was very disappointed to find that the flaps are just held together with gift wrapping tape and very easily came loose. The only way to fix this was with more gift wrapping tape. I'm done w/these planes. They have been a waste of hundreds of dollars. I wouldn't recommend either plane as they are very cheaply made. I have a P-51 micro warbird that still flies great now for more then 2 years with no issuesTurbo Timber, as well as Timber -Eveloution are very Cheaply made. Do Not Waste your money!
I'd Buy That For A Dollar!

This was purchased as my 2nd true airplane with proper surface controls vs yank and bank planes. This plane flies like a racer and can fly like a 3D stunt plane. If a person is familiar with flight control surfaces for aileron, rudder, elevator and throttle etc (flaperons on this one), I'd say you can jump into this plane. For beginners, it does have SAFE mode so you can fly it as a beginner but it is more an intermediate to expert level plane. That being said i learned to fly on it and crashed it quite a few times and still flew it using packaging tape to keep it together. Still flying great and no one know until they get up close to see how many times I repaired it LoL.

The timber x is a great flyer, lots of fun. This particular one I sent back defective as it does not stay in the air.About 75 yards out it stops flying and lands or crashes, not the battery, but is the plane.I have 4 misc. umx timbers and all are great; exception of this one which is just defective, but it happens..
