I don't like oil sprays. This works great! Easy to clean by just putting in dishwasher. Very happy with purchase.

I like this idea and I probably over filled my container. I think the trick is to only fill the container to about 1/2 way up the brush. Otherwise, since the lid is not secure at all, the contents easily get messy all over the lid.

Very efficient to control the amount of oil in the food, considering 1 spoon of olive oil has about 1000 calories, for example. It looks nice and seems sturdy.

The brush in this bottle is made from silicon rubber and swelled to twice it's size when submerged in contact cement.My attempt at a glue pot.The jar and lid seem excellent otherwise.An acid flux brush, cut to length, fits the hole in the lid.

I use this to put olive oil on bread or toast or bagels. Container is compact but holds plenty. Brush would be small for coating cooking pans but just right for my use. The top holds tight with rubber friction ring which keeps oil airtight and prevents spills. The entire set completely breaks down into separate parts for washing. The bottom has a rubber base to prevent slipping on counter. Excellent!****UPDATE: After using it for a week, I decided to send it back and use a different type with a larger brush. I still think this was a very good item, but not quite what I needed.

Hey, it's a nice product, but we find it easier to use an olive oil spray - then you have no chance of getting greasy hands.

I like to use ghee to cook fried eggs and saute other things, as well as top steamed vegetables. I buy ghee by the jar, and spooning or pouring it out can be quite messy, not to mention the lack of portion control. This little jar, with the attached silicone brush, has allowed me to control just how much ghee I use in the fry pan, and I can brush a bit on top of my steamed broccoli for flavor. And if the broccoli bits get on the brush, it is easily washed. The whole black plastic top screws on, then the portion with the brush is seated in the lid, held in place with a silicone gasket. So it remains reasonably airtight. I only filled it to the top of the brush, to afford more control. The brush head is small. This would not be good to use to brush onto hot items while cooking. I have not had to clean the whole thing yet, but I like the fact that the jar is glass rather than plastic to make it easier to clean, since I'm using a greasy product. Doesn't take up much space on the counter. I am ordering another one for my 2nd home.

I can not express how much I love this! This has helped me with baking and cooking as I no longer put too much oil when greasing pans, muffin tins, etc... I may buy another one so that I can have one for olive oil and another for vegetable oil. It was a little bit smaller than I thought, but I realize now that if it were any bigger, it would have been an annoyance and not fit in the shelf as nicely. Very happy with this purchase.

I use olive oil in mine, and it's a good way to oil a pan before cooking. The top doesn't completely seal to the bottom, though, and supposedly exposure to oxygen can make oil get discolored or go bad; so far this hasn't happened. I keep it in a dark cupboard, which also helps oil last longer.
