There is no way to maintain precision with this indicator base. Indicator can't maintain any degree of smooth travel. I work in measures generally down to the .0001" with a high quality Bestest .0005" indicator and it's worked with this base. Lesson learned. Will expect refund. Much be great for lesser projects, but if you need real precision, this is not for you.
