Does its job. Mine came in rough shape with the plastic faceplate pealing off. Also like other reviews state it is extremely difficult to see in the sunlight. But overall functions.

This is a must have for anyone with electric fencing. It's very inexpensive and does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have no idea of the accuracy, but it tells you what you really need to know: is the fence hot or not. Simple to use, cheap to buy, and it works. All the elements of a great deal.

It works and its cheap - but there are better/similar options for the same price point. I would have given this 4 stars but I do not like when descriptions of items are deceiving or inaccurate. I already have an electric fence tester - the only reason I purchased this one is because it says in the description that it can easily be read in daylight. The one I currently have is extremely difficult to see in daylight... but it stated it was hard to use in the sun right in the description - so I was okay with that.The insulated grip on the probe is also very small, the last thing I want to do is zap myself trying to test the fence - if I was going to do that I would skip this meter altogether! My other meter has a much longer insulated grip, I can comfortably fit my entire hand on it and not worry about accidently touching the energized probe.This meter also reads about 1-2,000 volts on the low side, which isn't a huge deal to me because it still indicates the fence is working just fine, but is just yet another annoyance with this meter.
