I have a couple of erhus and I wanted to try out these fine tuners for my cheaper erhu that has trouble with the A-string staying in tune. I installed this one but I found that the tuner assembly rattles when the erhu is played, so I took it off. Also, when I put the tuner on it left a 1/2" scratch on the neck of the erhu. I'm glad I tried it on a beginner's instrument instead of a more valuable one.

This fine tuner definitely works on my erhu. It fits very snugly on the neck, and it allows the strings to be tuned more precisely than with just the friction pegs. It pushes the strings out a good bit more than in the listing pictures, but that may be due to my erhu needing some further setting up.
