Cap fell off in shipping. There was grease everywhere. Huge unwanted mess. Hopefully the product last longer than the packaging.

I bought this SurTrack FD-8023 CV Axle Shaft for my boyfriend and I's 02 Ford F150 and here is what he had to say: We ordered this axle cause the one in our F150 was clicking when you turned it one way.. I narrowed it down to what axle it was a decided to purchase this axle. The axle is nice and fits nicely was easy to install. For the Price you can't go wrong especially if you are a do it yourself kind of person. We have had the axle in the truck for a while now works well....would recommend this axle for a replacement..if I needed another one for the other side I order it again...I hope this review was helpful..Thank you and have a wonderful day..

I bought 2 of these to replace blown out boots on my cv axles from installing a 2.5" lift and because I read a review that said they turn even with the suspension maxed out. This is not true. Did you have the jack under the frame or the a-arm? Easy to installl but on my 3rd one in 30° weather I'm not happy. The factory one I took off never bottomed out and the 3rd one I bought from a more advanced box store doesn't bottom out. For some reason these did. Thought I had a bad one so I returned it to Amazon (great customer care) and the 2nd one was worse at bottoming out then the 1st. Made the truck tire hop going down the road. I will never buy this brand again

Great fit but nut is 36mm instead of 35mm like stock so you need two sockets. Also nut does not have the spring washer built in like the oem nut.

Fits my 2001 F150. Seams more flexible than my AutoZone one on the other side. The joints turns even with the suspension fully extended (frame on a jack stand, tire hanging free).The only iffy thing is it comes with a 36mm axel nut not the 35mm Ford standard. So you need both sized sockets - or since my ford nut wasn't messed up I used it with this axel.I just installed it and test drove a few miles including 4x4 on a gravel road, so can't comment on durability yet.
