I bought this for my Fender Jaguar, as everyone seems to - it improves the guitar 10 fold. So why don’t they just fit the Jag & Jazzmaster with this bridge!?

Just fits straight in. More than easy to apply. Stops the strings jumping out of the threaded saddles if you strum too hard, helps keep tune better too.

I'm a little concerned that I could've done just as well at less than half the price. The saddles are a little too wide for my Squier vintage modified Jaguar and it puts the high E really close to the edge of the fingerboard, even when you shift the bridge as far toward the low E as possible.edit: OK, I'm really starting to hate this bridge and hate how everyone on the internet regurgitates and validates the same advice without really adding anything new to the story, so here's my immediate frustrations. So many will tell you that this is a drop-in replacement. Sure, if you don't mind the fact that it fits very loosely in the VM Jag bridge holes and will shift around. Also, problematic with both the Jag and Mustang bridge on the VM Jag is the string alignment to the neck. My nut was cut a little lean on the bottom side of the neck on the high E string, so it was already traveling a little too close to the edge to begin with. The Mustang bridge, in it's most relaxed "floating" position in those cavernous bridge pegholes is bringing the high string frustratingly close (as in you're going to frequently, without even trying to do any kind of bend, as if you'd bend in that direction on that string, be pulling the string over the fret edges and completely off the fretboard. So no, while this guitar sounds great, it's problems don't begin and end with a bridge that does not fit properly and snugly without adding some kind of buffer or replacing the peg hole thimbles with ones that better fit this bridge.

Used this on a Jazzmaster clone, works well. but you will still have to fit it. This does not have individual adjusting screws and the saddles fit tight to each other so it won't get out of whack. You may have to file the bottom of the center saddles if you have a flatter radius fret board.

This is a great bridge to upgrade a Squier jaguar or jazzmaster for an affordable price. It was in great condition, and fixed my problems that I had on my stock bridge. But, if would have had been excellent, if it came with the hex wrench to adjust the action.

I ordered this twice and both times one of the posts wasn't drilled all the way through. This made it impossible to adjust one of the sides of the bridge making the whole thing useless.I have been a 25 year Fender user, I am surprised to find a defective part from them.

Bought this to replace the bridge on my Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jaguar and it's a drop in perfect fit. Just make sure to get some aluminum foil and tape (or some creative alternative) to shim both the sides to prevent the E strings from popping out.

I used this to replace the bridge on my 2013 squier vintage modified jazzmaster. Although it has a more curved fingerboard radius than the squier jazzmaster, I was able to raise the low and high E saddles by sticking a piece of rubber under them, and now it's fine. The fact that there are no individual height adjustment screws is a huge plus; no more annoying rattling! The neck on my guitar is shimmed, so the bridge is higher than normal, however the low E string is still prone to pop out of its saddle when fingerpicked, or if you try to do any crazy bends (I'm using .11 gauge strings btw). If your neck is not shimmed, or you use regular gauge strings you will probably still need a buzz stop to COMPLETELY stop any issues with strings coming out of grooves.

I bought this bridge for a 2003 CIJ Jazzmaster I rescued from an abusive owner. The stock Jazzmaster bridge looked like it has been dragged down a gravel road and a few of the saddle's slots were dull. This Mustang bridge dropped right in. Intonation was a snap to adjust as was the string height (allen wrench adjustment makes more sense than the tune-o-matic thumb screws my calloused fingers are used to). Open notes sound clearer and I do not have to worry about string slippage. My lone complaint is that the top string rests on the back of the bridge. Guess I could fix it with a little work; including raising the bridge and shimming the neck. However, this does not appear to interfere with those sweet chiming noises you get by picking between the tremolo and the bridge (h/t Nels Cline and Lee Ranaldo).
