Doesnt Matter if amazon says this system fits for a v6 engine, what does matter is when you have the right vehicle setup. With new catilytics converters install, I am exceeding manufacture spects for MPG (27 city 32 HWY). I did a full tune up on a 07 Silverado 4.3, new exhaust, no headers. I do not use cruise, I keep my tach about 1500 but do not exceed 2000 while traveling on hwy.

I just ordered my SECOND Flowmaster 17435 cat-back system for my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. I am very satisfied with the product from Flowmaster. 5 years in Michigan's winter-salted roads finally resulted in a rust-failure behind the muffler. NO complaints. The system sounds great, installs easily, and looks terrific. I don't understand the other 1-star review, as Amazon's fit-check program makes mis-ordering almost impossible. The Flowmaster system gave me an immediate increase in mileage, and on a trip last year to Arizona I was able to record 23mpg twice (4.8 liter V-8, auto trans, hard tonneau bed-cover). I'd recommend this system to anyone wanting a deeper, throatier exhaust sound, with the benefit of increased performance/mileage.

Followed process to order this exhaust for an extended cab and recieved exhaust for standard cab. This one does not fit... Packaging label was under shipping label so this F-up was not discovered until my current exhaust was removed. Half of the return info peeled off with label above it. Also there is no other contact info to get the one Pipe I need. Now my options are buy the pipe from a local store and have my truck drivable in three days or return the whole exhaust and have three days of lost time and truck dealing with shipping it back and probably another week "of no truck" to recieve what may not be the proper exhaust again. No # to call no People to talk to!
