The polished chrome all-metal wall mount shower head holder looks good and works great! It was purchased instead of using the chrome plated plastic mount that came with the hand-held shower head because it didn't look like it would last very long. This unit has enough adjustability to bring the shower head closer to the wall than fixed position holders. The conical shaped receiver has enough friction to firmly hold a Moen 3 function hand shower with an attached metal hose. The arm tightness can be adjusted before mounting if desired, or even in the future if it loosens by unscrewing the holder from the piece that is mounted to the wall. The packaging includes screws and instructions for how to mount through various wall treatments either with or without a stud behind it. I used a 3/16 inch diamond coated drill to bore the 2 mounting holes through the ceramic tile before drilling core holes in the wood stud behind it. As for sealing the unit to the wall to prevent moisture penetration, the instructions that come with it suggest applying a small bead of silicone on the back ring of the holder before screwing it on the threaded mount that is attached to the wall surface.

Soooooo much better than than the Hansgrohe 28321823 that was originally installed by a contractor in our shower and eventually cracked and kept letting the shower head fall to the floor or on your feet. This one fit in the same holes and will last forever. Her is a pic of our old plastic Hansgrohe and this new one. The Kohler will never break or crack like the old one and is much safer for my family. And it is better looking!

Here is what I had to do to install this: Unscrew the main body from the mounting plate. Mark the two holes for drilling; install mounting plate.Next, I was unsure of the factory set, so I found a 9 mm hex allen wrench and loosened the spring retainer. The arm will move, but not too easily. I set it where I wanted it-not much different from how it came, to be honest-and screwed it on the mounting plate so it was plumb and level. This device has several machined parts, threads, spring, and a quality finish. Probably way overkill, design wise, but typical Kohler.

I bought this bracket for a Kingston hand shower and it didn't fit, so I had to return it. I couldn't find the dimension of the holder prior to the purchase so it was just a trial and error exercise. The bracket is beautiful, but it was a little stiff, but you probably want that to hold the shower head in place. It's also very pricy. If you have a Kohler hand shower and are looking for solid brass, and you can afford the price, you should be very happy with this purchase.

Had bought this to be installing in our new remodeled bathroom to hold a hand shower. The hand shower that we purchased was quite heavy and so was the coil. based on our experience with other brackets or stick on brackets we decided to go on with really heavy duty bracket this time. This bracket is really heavy and quite chunky. This is all metal. It needs to be installed on the studs with two long screws and is quite strong after the installation and we could support our full body weight if tried to pull it away from the wall. Overall it looks, feels and is great to use so would recommend it

I looked at many hand-held shower wall mounts. The cheap ones were just that; cheap in material and quality. These varied from suction mounts that could not take weight and needed fiddling to single screw units that would loosen up. It was best if you found a wall stud to anchor them. The Kohler model is quality. It comes with a two screw mount. It is much better (in my estimation) if mounted to a stud for solid anchoring. Installation was not difficult. After mounting the under base the outer base ring screws on and the bracket arm can be easily positioned. Wonderful!

we purchased the bracket along with a kohler hand-held shower head and hose. all 3 products had stupid-proof instructions with the expected kohler quality. as it turns out, we will be returning the wall-mount bracket as the shower head hangs easily on the shower organizer. just the same, it is worthy to note that the bracket was made of quality, sturdy materials and would look and function great without using a shower organizer. the bracket that it replaced was definitely made of a light weight plastic and quickly broke after installing it. this bracket is by no means made of cheap materials and i feel certain it would not have broken like the other one. definitely a worthy purchase

This all-metal bracket for a shower hose is perfect. Attractive, too. Rather than a sliding bar, which is a bigger deal to install, or a bracket up where the shower head comes out of the wall, which is hard to reach if your shower is high, this bracket places the hand held shower nicely in reach and easily accessible. Install it with a divertor up at the shower head so you can switch between hand held and the regular shower head. I actually just keep the divertor set to the hand held and use only that.
