Lower connector was too small to fit the ball on 2001 f350 7.3 crew.Lucky the old connector threaded on and is working fine for now.

My pre-listed vehicle on Amazon said it fit. Wrong. Too long. Cannot compress piston. The clips are horrible. You can't use a typical screwdriver to back them out slightly. They wind up coming out on one side. Garbage. Sending back. Disappointed.

Easy installation and perfect fit. I'm happy I don't have to use a hood prop any more and these were way cheaper than the parts store.

I bought these for my '04 F250 5.4L, the old ones were worn out and I had to use a pair of vice grips to keep the hood open. I changed out the first support and the replacement was strong enough to hold the hood up while I replaced the other side. The hood closes with no issues, opens up and stays up, no issues. I would buy again.

Like many older vehicles, my hood struts had lost their lift. In fact, the hood wouldn't even stay open at all. These struts arrived and I immediately wanted to get them installed. Now, anyone who has ever done these before knows how to use them. This may be the reason there are zero directions included. If you are a gas strut newbie though, you simply pry up the retaining clip (with a flat blade screwdriver) to remove the old strut and snap the new one in place. You don't need to remove the clip on the new struts since it snaps right into place. The install was quick and easy and now my hood lifts up on its own (as it should) and, more importantly, doesn't slam down on my head. All of this at a fraction of the dealer price! It's fair to say I'm one happy girl!
