Pretty nice skid plate for the money. I didn’t receive instructions or all the hardware. I added a vinyl SR5 decal for fun. So here is a list of the bolt sizes and respective spacer placement to make things easier for your installation.Front - M12 X 1.25 67mm W/Small SpacerMiddle - M12 X 1.25 90mm W/Long SpacerRear - M8 X 1.25 35mm Bolt

Saw through chat fourms that this would fit my 2018 TRD Sport double cab Tacoma and was able to install by myself with the help of the other reviews here. Small spacers are in the front, big spacers for the middle and you need a car jack to hold the plate in position while you do it by yourself. Recommend doing it with a helper, I also bought undercoating spray paint to make it black. The plate is sturdy and much better then the oem setup I had. I recommend going this route compared to the other more expensive options out there.

Skid is heavy and came primed. Instructions weren't great but was pretty straightforward to figure out. Main thing missing was where to use the spacers, but sorted that out and used the shorter spacers on the front, longer ones in the middle and no spacer in the rear.Install was pretty straightforward and I was able to do it myself with a floor jack holding the plate while I started the bolts. Don't tighten any of them until you get the all cleanly started. For mine I coated with spray on Herculiner bed liner and added stenciled lettering to note where the oil filter and drain are. I did that as I saw others indicating shops removing the skid to change oil and I wanted to try to avoid that.

Fits decent, but didnt come with hardware or washers. Had to buy additional bolts at Home Depot. I am assuming they fell out of the box as it arrived damaged. For the price, it’s a good alternative to the TRD skid plate. Instructions were good though.edit - 7/25/2024. The only bolts that were included are for the oil filter access. After less than 3 weeks, those 4 bolts have completely rusted. It is impossible to contact the seller, and amazon customer service is not able to provide me with any contact info, for whatever reason. Extremely frustrating! Definitely not pleased with this purchase overall.

For the avoidance of doubt, this skid plate fits a 2011 Tacoma with included hardware and does NOT require any modifications.I managed to install it without jacks or help in 30 minutes (after removing the old skid plate). Very happy that it only uses the rear to bolt holes of the non-trd skid plates (2-piece), as one of the bolts of the front OEM skid plate snapped off when I removed it.Installation tips. My order came with all the bolts and spacers needed. That said, it came with plastic retaining washers that I replaced with metal ones from a local hardware store. I also purchased flat washers to place between the bolt heads and the skid plate. To install it, I loosely mounted the two center bolts first (not my first attempt) and then the two rear bolts. I used a jack to push the front two bolts up to their respective holes since they wouldn't reach otherwise. Easy peazy. I also added anti-seize to all bolts including the oil access panel bolts that the 2nd Gen doesn't use.In summary, this is way better than the 2nd gen OEM skid plate and functionally equivalent to the trd pro skid plate. I doubt the fit is quite as precise, but once installed it's the same (I don't care for those bright red TRD logos).Very happy with the value of this skid plate and thank you Tacomaworld for the recommendation

First, have the tools, a floor jack, a level surface, and if you can put the Taco on jack stands for plenty of workspace if you are doing this solo. Was pleased with the build and quality of the skid plate. The instructions are a little vague when it comes to placing the bolts and spacers in the proper positions. Then instructions are in black and white and are hard to see the arrows that point to the bolt removals on your Tacoma. The two short bolts go in front of the skid plate, the two longer bolts go in the middle, the threaded screws go in the back. I lined up the plate and raised with my floor jack. Secured the front two bolts to 50%, did the same to the middle two longer bolts, and then the same to the rear two screws. Then I tightened all bolts and screws, then torqued them to specs. The fit is snug and coming close to the housing in front of the spring but I have not had any issues. I’ve put in close to 1k miles since adding the skid plate. No issues with vibrations.

My truck is a 2023 TRD Off Road.Installation was a bit of a challenge & did require a helper. Before installing the plate, I tried all 4 large bolts just to be sure I could actually get them started. I was only able to get 1, the other 3 felt like if I tried it might strip threads. So I spent an extra $47 and bought a hardware kit from a local Toyota dealer.Same bolt check but all 4 started & I even ran them in & out to be sure.I still think the plate is a good value as my total was about $200 less than the OEM plate. I don't care about the TRD lettering & could add it if I really wanted to.The long bolts & shims go in the center holes & the shorter ones go in the front holes. We got the rear 12mm bolts started, the long 17mm bolts started & then used a floor jack to lift the plate up & get the front 17mm bolts started, then it was just a matter of tightening all of them & torquing to spec.Much better protection than the stamped sheet metal ones that came on the truck, what a joke those are. Frankly I expected better at this trim level but there ya go.In any case, this plate is a good alternative for those looking to improve their truck.

The bolts and spacers got lost in the delivery, seller quickly answered and shipped the parts. Very satisfied.

Very easy to install. It got some chipped paint from the shipping process but it is very negligible. I painted mine with bed liner anyway to match my steel bumper. Very high quality of the aluminum that was used to make this skid plate is really thick. Really good protection for a cheaper price.
