I purchased this before I actually needed it - I didn't realize that there were sensors behind the rolling ball in the front of the vacuum which had gotten covered with dust and then wouldn't work properly. I thought I needed the new filter. Once I called Shark customer service and learned the real problem, i was able to get much more use from the original filter and just recently changed it out.

Better than the original. I am so glad i got this part shark really improved the replacement parts.
