This is not your typical landscape fabric. It is a nice quality geotextile fabric that is commonly used in construction or heavy duty applications. It definitely helps keep things in place and create a barrier. We are using this geotextile fabric to put underneath gravel and sand for a patio. Crazy to use regardless of the application. If using on hillside you may need some stakes. The price is great and good value compared to some other similar products that go for much more.

This fabric is heavier than what we got at the local box store. It will give a barrier that will keep weeds out of our stone landscaping. It is easy to install just trim to fit and secure with landscape fasteners and cover with rock of your choice.Ours has made it through it's first spring without any weeds and I am looking forward to years to come.

We have a big weed problem & needed something heavy-duty, to help with that. It doesn't rain here often, but when it does, it can be a problem. We're using this underneath the gravel & pavers, which will cut down on maintenance needed in our yard, but also help with drainage, which is a very good thing.

My original intended use for this fabric was as a weed control between shrubs. In the meantime, the rains have caused my hillside to become unstable so I used it for erosion control instead. When I first opened the package there was a faint chemical odor, but I’m placing it on bare dirt so I’m not concerned. I pulled it out of the packaging, spread it out width wise (13’) along the top of the hill, with the length hanging down the side. Then I used landscape stapes and rocks to hold the top edge in place. Once in place, I walked down the incline, gently (clumsily) unfolding the length of the fabric as I went. It was a two person job, I wouldn’t have been able to do it by myself. The package, unopened, seems a little heavy. Once you unfold it widthwise it doesn’t feel that heavy, but once you unfold the whole thing it’s a lot of fabric for just one person, especially if you’re working on a wet hillside. The fabric is definitely heavy duty. The terrain I used it on is dirt and rocks. While coming back up the hill, I was careful to avoid stepping on the fabric where the rocks are so I wouldn’t tear the fabric – but a couple of times I landed on a rock and the fabric held up fine. Since I placed the fabric down we’ve had one light rain, and it would appear that the water flows over the fabric without washing away what’s beneath. I am so happy this arrived when it did, it saved me from losing my yard into the creek. I highly recommend this for erosion control.

This fabric is perfect for weed control. I recently did some landscaping and used it under some landscaping rocks. Thr material is nice and thick and easy to install with some landscaping spikes.

I used this geotextile fabric to kill grass in a section of my yard for a flower garden, and it did an amazing job! It completely blocked the light and withstood multiple storms without shifting or tearing. The 6oz thickness is strong and reliable. Great for landscaping or construction use. Easy to cut and lay down. Highly effective and durable!
