My 7-year-old loves the color and fit. A real win on both counts for her. I do find it seems to attract and retain smudges more than cotton baseball caps. Some scrubbing with a brush and soap has been successful at removing them, but it's not my favorite thing to do regularly.

I am near 70 years old and while my hair isn't too long, when I am working outside, I can either ball up my hair and stuff it under a garden (wide brimmed) hat or I can put it up in a ponytail and pull my ponytail through the upper or lower opening in the back of this ball cap. I really prefer this method as my hair is away from my head completely and on hot days, that's much more comfotable than you might think. I have hair just below shoulder level, but considering the length I still have a LOT of hair and if I bunch it up inside a garden hat, my head heats up...so with this ball cap, it keeps my head cooler by allowing a ponytail to hang out, away from my head. It really feels so much better and this cap fits me very well!!!

This is a great hat. I actually ordered it for myself as I have a small head (the 8-12 years hat fit me just fine—20.4-22 inches). This hat has a nice design in the back that can accommodate a thick, long adult pony tail. I like the adjustable velcro (I actually made the hat a little smaller). The brim is easily bent to whatever curve you like. The hot pink is gorgeous and a lot of fun. I love the reflective trim as it catches the light when walking at night. The fabric is nice and the back is perforated so it breathes well. The hat is well made too. This is a great hat for the price point. All my friends love it, and think it’s cute that I can wear kid’s hats. Overall a great hat for the price point. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent cap mostly for girls, especially those with pony tails. Light-weight, breathable, adjustable, waterproof. The reflective strip is the differentiator since most caps don't come with these. Great value for the sub-$15 price.

Fits my 7yo well. She loves the color and wore the hat all day first day. She loves that she can still have a ponytail because that’s her favorite style.

The mesh back helps to provide a little airflow during hot weather or activity. She still gets sweaty, but it does something! The reflective strip is small, but again, it does something. I think of it as a secondary protection and not a main source of visibility.The open back and criss cross allows for different pony tail styles and heights. Pigtails don't work, because the hole is in the center, but it works on both high, medium, and low ponytails! The hole is pretty, high, so if the child has thin hair, you will want to make sure to apply sunscreen.The back is adjustable with Velcro which allows older children to adjust on their own while motor skills are still developing. My daughter is 5, and on the neutral setting the hat is a tad too big, but we adjusted it and it fits well. This is quickly becoming her go-to hat!

This hat definitely delivers when it comes to functionality for high ponytails or messy buns, it’s great for anyone who likes to wear their hair up and still wants full sun protection. The scrunchie or ponytail slot in the back works perfectly and aligns well without bunching or slipping. However, I did notice that the front portion of the hat sits a bit wide on my head. While it is adjustable, the fit still feels slightly loose overall, which might make it more ideal for someone with a larger head circumference.That said, the material feels durable and holds up well to regular use, and for the price, it’s a solid value. It does exactly what it promises, practical, comfortable (for the most part), and well-suited for active, sun-filled days. The reflective bill stripe is a great feature for safety during dawn or dusk activties!
