Machined Bearings
Almost every "high end" machine uses wheel bearings instead of bushings for several reasons. Bearings create much less drag than bushings, which creates a much silkier ride. This lack of drag is also gentler on the grass. Bearings also fit much tighter than bushings, which prevents wheel wobble and damaging axle wear. It is common with bushings that grease will escape and collect dust that causes extreme axle wear.
Greaseless
With this conversion you will NEVER need to grease again! Our bearing inner seals are also removable for customers that want to continue using grease.
Complete Rebuild Kit
The all inclusive kit was designed by our engineering staff that includes 50+ years of industry experience. Our conversion kit provides all the required parts including thrust washers. It is easy to damage the E-Clips (snap rings) during this repair so we include 2 new E-Clips - Just in case.
Tough Precision Bearings
These bearings are built to HD Switch specifications that are designed specifically for this conversion. Our tough seal design keeps the grease in and dust out. HD Switch premium quality bearings come standard with Synthetic high wear resistant high temperature grease for long life.

I mean... yeah. How often do you have your wheels up in the air spinning them? Does it reduce friction to have a bearing where you used to have a bushing... duh. Do you immediately notice a massive difference driving it... no. BUT as you might imagine, a metal bearing should last significantly longer than a nylon bushing, and more importantly for me, a failure of said bearing isn't as likely to mean a complete spindle replacement as my failed bushing that resulted in a spindle being eaten up badly in short order.

The bearings fit easily over existing "axle" and have significantly better life than the old bushings.
