Every other manufacturer in the world uses numbers at the beginning of their part number sequence to identify the belt type. Not Honda. This belt is a Honda belt but the most important thing is to know that you have the correct letters at the end of the numbers that are provided at the beginning of the sequence- those letters make a difference as to whether or not your belt will fit.

Worked great on a honda self propelled mower I was fixing for someone. Took about 30 seconds to replace.

Make sure you check the part number for the serial number mower you have. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong one the first time.

at the end of last year... I was doing my last mowing of the season when I drove my mower off the curb... the blade struck the curb and bent like crazy and the belt got mangled... it was quite a mess... being that I had just finished mowing... I had time to order the replacement parts off amazon and save a few bucks.. This belt is the real deal.. it was a perfect fit for my mower. the old one was about 10 years old so I'm sure it needed replacement anyway... this is an OEM belt... not some knock off....If you found my review helpful in any way.. please click on the yes button... Thank you

This is a perfect fit for the Honda Harmony II series self-propelled lawnmowers. My older Honda lawnmower was beginning to have problems when I engaged the transmission when the grass was even slightly wet, the old belt was worn. It would either squeak loudly and move slowly or not move at all when engaged, I found that if I re-engaged the clutch several times it might begin to move at least enough to finish the lawn but it gradually got worse. I considered getting a new Honda as this one is 15 years old, maybe it's time but decided to invest $13.99 to see if I could save it and also save the $400 or so a new one would cost. I watched several YouTube videos that showed how to safely replace the drive belt: unplug the spark plug, turn off the gas supply and roll in onto it's right side among other cautions. It took me about 15 minutes to change out the belt and that was going slow as I had never done it before. You need a socket wrench, metric not SAE, a pliers to release the tension spring and a screw driver to get the job done. The result, the mower now powers through anything like a tank, once engaged, it just goes forward smoothly and quietly. While you're at it order a new spark plug, the is the OEM plug for this engine and the air cleaner element and replace the oil with 12 ounces of 10W30 and you've got a tuned-up ready to go Happy Honda at your service for another $12 to $13.00 investment and an additional 15 minutes of your time.
