Merece 5 estrellas pero he puesto 3 porque no venia con adaptador de tensión , a pesar que la publicidad interna del blister decia que venia con adaptador de tensión.En cuanto al funcinamiento, es PERFECTO !!!

Purchased for installation as part of a pro sound system in an auditorium. Has worked flawlessy, and I never even have to think about it. Would definitely purchase another should the need arise.

This box works perfect. Was exactly what I needed and if you need to interface AES to Spdif this box is rock solid

Tried to use it in our rather hybrid A/V digital system but could not get it to talk to the digital output of our audio board. Had to return.

Seems to work pretty well. I did a few quick tests and my effects box (Eventide H7600) is being clocked by an Apogee Big Ben and the effect box goes out to the Hosa and then to my recording interface. Since there were no instructions, I am not sure this is correct, and it seems to be working. One test recording does produce an occasional "digital crackle" which is minimal.

This device allows an external audio device to go from Unbalanced (RCA) to Balance (XLR). Removing static and hums in a mixer board is what this does for a Sound person.

Just had to replace a CD recorder and the output of our board is only AES/EBU. The input of the new recorder is SP/DIF. So I just plugged in the Hosa and boom. It works. How simple can you get.

I love this little guy and despite buying it used for $80 on amazon, months later it's still working with my Saffire 56 and Focusrite Liquid Channel to send digital signal and sync clock source flawlessly. Works great and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to go aes/ebu to spdif

Multiple digital sources with different cable formats (Coax spdif, BNC, Toslink, AES-EBU) can make connecting them to a single input source difficult without constantly changing cables. I use a Grace Design m902 as the DAC/Preamp/Headphone amp in my living room stereo. The Grace has multiple digital inputs but only one of each. When I added an Empirical Syncromesh to the system I was limited to coax and Toslonk outputs. I use the coax input on the Grace for the CD player and needed to add a input from the Syncromesh (computer audio streaming Sonos). The Hosa lets me use the coax spdif from the Syncromesh (which has seperate coax and Toslink inputs) and converts it to AES-EBU output to the Grace. The Hosa is absolutely silent and transparent- exactly what such a device should be.
