  • SPECIFICATION:2 Flutes UP&Down Compression cut router bits 1/4 Inch Shank,1/8 Inch Cutting Dia ,1/0.98Inch (25mm) cutting length, 1/2.36" (60mm)overall length.
  • Tungsten Steel Tungsten Carbide: Compression spiral router bit 1/4 inch shank wear-resistant, no burr. Left and right spiral composite form design, more smooth chip discharge, more durable, better cutting effect. Independent single package, better protection of the knife edge.
  • COMPATIBILITY:Compression router bit 1/4 shank hard plastic board, woodworking board, density board, particleboard, plywood, solid wood and other woodworking boards
  • COMPRESSION CUT: The compression cutters are designed with both up and down-cut flutes, combatting delamination on the top and bottom of a workpiece.
  • All of our CNC router bits or end mills can only rotate clockwise during working, so if your machine can only rotate counterclockwise, than it is not suitable.

The Compression Router Bit

  • Industrial quality control to ensure smooth cutting performance
  • This bit cut both top and bottom cleanly, Its spiral action pulls both sides into the center of the bit where it ejects out of the side.
  • Made of industrial quality Solid Carbide, reinforced with Tungsten Carbide cutters. This 1/4 inch compression router bit is specifically designed to provide smooth finish and efficient cuts.

Compression CNC router bit

Compression CNC router bit

2 Flutes Compared to single edge drill bits, more material can be removed in the same amount of time, thereby improving cutting efficiency. Compared to drill bits made of other materials, tungsten steel hard alloy has a higher elastic modulus and better rigidity.

Compression CNC router bit

2 Flutes UP&Down Compression cut router bits 1/4 Inch Shank

Featuring a double-edged design, it can simultaneously apply force from two directions during the cutting process. Compared to a single blade knife, it can complete cutting tasks more quickly, especially when dealing with thicker or more tough materials, which can significantly improve cutting efficiency.

I'm just starting to test the performance of this bit, but so far it's doing well. It's priced a little lower than others that are coated, but I've used a number of "bare carbide" bits over the years with good results. It's sharp out of the package and generally seems well-made. Updates to follow when I have more data on it to share.

I've used other Hozly bits and had good results with them. I ran a test to compare this bit with some others, in particular the quality of the top surface it left. My picture shows various bits cutting part way through a piece of 1/4" birch plywood. #1 is an up-cut bit; as you can see there's a lot of surface splintering. #2 is a down-cut bit, and clearly it leaves the best surface of all. #3 is a straight-flute bit, but ignore this one because I found out later that the bit was dull. And #4 is the Hozly up & down or "compression" bit. The surface is almost as good as the down-cut bit, but compression bits have the added advantage of leaving a clean bottom surface when cutting through a piece of material. In retrospect I should have run this test by cutting all the way through my piece of plywood. Also of note with this bit is that it has a nice long 25mm cutting length, and it has a 1/4" shank, which is convenient if you usually have a 1/4" collet in your router.
