Our skin absorbs chlorine when showering in city water. Also, chlorine isn't good for plants and trees.Some people may not be aware that most municipalities treat water with Chloramines which is a compound of ammonia and chlorine and not just chlorine. To filter out Chloramines you need catalytic carbon which is different from activated carbon.
