I tested other lower cost capture cards but the Zoom image was always fuzzy.Same for this product UNTIL I used VLC to look at the capture image. It was upside down and backwards, but nice and sharp. It then occurred to me that Zoom was causing the problem setup.I had a Blur background but since there was no foreground, the entire image was blurred by Zoom.Turned Blur off and there's a perfect image.I've used J5create products before and this is a great one.I tried a Canon camcorder and a Panasonic Pro 4K camera and image was perfect for Zoom

This is a nice, and seemingly well designed video capture device. I installed and worked under Linux without any problems. Like most modern video capture devices, this presents itself to the system like it was a video camera. I can't test it at 4K resolutions with my current setup, but I expect it will work fine. This does not do HDCP so it can't display all content. There are some capture cards that will do HDCP, so if you need that feature, you need to look carefully for a capture card that will support it. I really like the fact that this comes with a captive USB C adapter, so you can basically plug it into anything. I'm currently using this to capture the output of some test gear (I'm an electronics tech/geek), so I'm not really doing anything fancy with it at the moment.

Wunderbar - Lumix Kamera am PC als HDMI Input / Webcam Gerät. Man muss etwas im HDMI Menü der Kamera fummeln damit die Schrift des Kamera Menüs nicht im Bild ist..

I've been meaning to get a new capture device for a while now but the prices for the best capture cards were just too much for me to ever want or feel the need to spend the money on it. Needless to say my Avermedia C875 was just to outdated and could only output 720p 60fps. I really wanted some good capture for YouTube videos I had planned so I finally decided now was the time to buy a new capture card.A while back, I came across the 4K HDMI Video Capture Card at a MicroCenter location and two things got my attention the price and the fact that it could at least capture 1440p(2K) 60fps. I was not ready to pull the trigger right then but I kept it in mind and finally decided to grab it mainly out of desperation.I'm glad to report that it is better than I could have ever imagined! At first I was a bit worried about the fact that I would have to view the capture through my PC. I mainly capture games and my older capture card had a serious amount of lag when you previewed the video from the software but there was an hdmi out the capture card that allowed you to pass through the video to your TV so I never had to worry about that.Thankfully times have changed and the usb-c 3.2 Gen 1 connection ensures that you get low latency and it definitely worked! Even before playing a game, the mouse latency was great so I definitely breathed a sigh of relief on that one.I used OBS to capture my second PC and it immediately picked it up no special software needed like my old capture card. Initially, Windows 10 picked up 4K 30fps for the capture card so I did have to manually make changes to ensure it was using 1440p 60fps. I also checked to see if it could in fact capture 1080p at 120fps and it certainly did.The biggest challenge was getting the audio to work on OBS but after some quick research that was working as well.It was unreal to me that I was using OBS and it was easy to forget that OBS was even there when I put the preview in full screen. I've already done a few captures and I'm definitely happy with the results so far. It's really nice to have a capture card as the current video card I'm using on the PC just doesn't have the power to capture and give good performance at the same time.I would definitely recommend getting this card if you're on a budget and want something that can at least get you a 1440p 60fps capture. To be honest telling the difference between 4K and 1440p is definitely something I can't pick up off the bat so safe to say I'm going to be okay with this capture card for a long time until I can upgrade to something better.

I am planning on doing a video in which I need to connect the output of one PC into my capture/streaming PC so I bought this device as it listed 4K capability and higher refresh rates for the lower resolutions (1080p 120Hz and 1440p 60Hz). Unfortunately it can only do 30Hz at 4K, but that is reasonable for this price point. I'm happy to report that all of these resolutions seem to work great. I tested with my Steam Deck and 4K60 capable dock and tried all the given resolutions as well as some that aren't listed. For resolutions that aren't listed, the input gets scaled up to the output resolution (for instance, 1280x800 scaled up to 1920x1080 and it gets stretched a bit due to the aspect ratios). Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have an option to preserve aspect ratio, but you can always adjust the aspect ratio in your recording/streaming software.I also chose this device as it claimed to use standard UVC video protocol which I knew should be compatible with Linux. I'm happy to report that I plugged it into my Arch Linux PC and fired up OBS and it was available. HDMI audio was available as an additional audio input as well. There is a bit of latency between the input and what shows up on the capture screen but not a ton, and you could probably even play slower paced games through the capture preview, but if you're doing any fast-paced gaming you'll want to use a splitter or clone your display on the source. Picture quality is very clear even at 4K. The 4K desktop mode on the Steam Deck looked crisp and clean on my main PC's 4K display using OBS's fullscreen preview. It is a true super-speed USB 3.x device and the USB type A to type C adapter it comes with is a proper USB 3.x adapter. I was a bit wary of buying another J5Create product as I had bought a 4K webcam from them before that claimed USB 3 but was just a USB 2 device with a type C connector and didn't perform well. I'm glad to say this capture card is the real deal.
