I'm a wood working hobbyist so have not stressed my Jet Dust Collector unduly. It's worked very well with my jointer and continued to suck up chips even after the hose between the jointer and dust collector got clogged. I've used the dust collector with my table saw but don't have a good sense of how well they pair because I haven't made much sawdust with my table saw since I bought the dust collector. I've only had to empty the dust collector bag once. I recommend you wear gloves when removing/installing the dust collector bag because the spring that holds it in place is very strong and pinched my fingers pretty good. My dust collector contains the dust well and there are no billowing clouds of dust escaping. There is some dust that escape from the filter bag and gathers on the impeller cover, but I haven't done anything to improve the seal around the filter bag. For a hobbyist like me, the JET DC-650BK Dust Collector meets my needs.

This is a scam the only thing that was shipped and received was the bag not the machine. I didn’t pay over $600 for a freaking bag.

Just what it states...DUST collecting that's it. if you are trying to pick up planner or jointer chips...forgetaboutit! plugs in seconds...had to CUT star out of hose port!! and once I did worked better but still very weak!!!. Small unit have to empty every time of use.......bought a bigger unit (shop fox 1 1/2 hp) for 100 bucks less to boot

We have had this in our plant for over a year. The application is sucking dust and chaff from a bulk bagging operation with raw pop corn kernels. The only issue we have had is the lower sack getting beat up by the random pop corn kernels that get sucked up with the dust. The inner ring of material around the metal hoop has been damaged and frayed until the metal band is exposed about 50% of the way around. Time for a new bag. This thing runs an average of 4 hours per day and gets maybe 5 pounds of pop corn sucked in each day. We have limited the suction at the intake on our bagger but can't reduce it any more so we will live with the gradual damage to the bag. A reasonable engineering upgrade might be a deflection device to allow the intake to not hit the bag or the side of the unit as there is some damage there as well. We will probably have to bolt or weld a piece on the inside to take the wear. For those who don't know, unpopped pop corn is more abrasive than wood.

Works well but the packaging was mediocre. If the collector wasn't beat up in shipping, I would have given it 5 stars. As it is, it wasn't worth having it replaced, but it's disappointing to spend this much on a new tool and have it show up scratched, dented and misshapenThe dust collector works fantastic and is reasonably well built. I am using a 10' hose and the suction is more than adequate for my table saw and router table. The motor is quiet enough that you talk above it without yelling.

This dust collector works great for my garage shop. Everything in my shop is on wheels and I usually do most of my power tool work in the driveway. With this dust collector I can work in my garage if I want to. It gets most of the dust and wood chips so I don't need to do extensive clean ups. I have to admit, This is my first real dust collector, so I may not be the objective person to ask if you need it to do more. For the price I am well satisfied, and Jet seems to make quality products. Assembly was very easy, and using it is very simple.

This unit delivers proper dust collection to all machines. It is a workhorse and at the price is a great deal. It will not disappoint you in any way.It is fairly quiet and operates seemingly without effort. I have a full shop of tools and this collector takes care of them all.
