Alignment not correct which makes it hard to stretch the canvas

Had a recent show in Houston. No piece was smaller than 4’ x 8’. Two of the pieces were 8 feet by 8 feet on canvas. While I was aware of the issue of these breaking, I had to take the chance. We used quite a bit of leverage.Never had a problem and these canvas pliers without a doubt made the process so much smoother.

I used these for my pool table renovation, to pull old tables out, and to stretch the cloth for installation on the slate.I'll start with the staple remover. I've not got experience with higher end staple pullers, but I will say these are a big step above using a flathead screw driver. They pull cleaner and more consistently, and are less prone to breaking the staple in the process. There is some technique to them, but they are pretty intuitive. They are also inexpensive enough that I wasn't nervous cutting a small groove in the puller to convert the extra one into a nail puller.As for the stretcher pliers, well the stretched, I was able to pull the cloth tightly, and managed to consistently reach the target stretch points for my cloth. they don't lock into place like the vice clamp style pullers, but that didn't affect my ability to use them. They not only pulled the cloth consistently with no slipping, they also have rubber jaws, so there is no risk of damage to the material.All in all, if you're not a pro and you just need something to do the job, this is a great choice.-

The rubber pads offer a great grip and the width made it easy to grab a decent amount of fabric and keep it taut while stapling into place. The staple remover worked exceptionally well. I’m very pleased.

Great canvas stretcher. Quality construction, good heft, nicely finished, and works perfectly. A+The bonus staple puller tool is of only mediocre quality, but it was a bonus item and not why I bought these.

I was very happy to have the stapler remover added as a set. I've used the stapler remover to remove staples from a canvas stretcher that someone gave me for free, they had removed their stapled on canvas for shipping. It worked fantastically and made the job so much easier. The stretcher pliers were great and made the job of stretching new canvases on very fast and easy. A MUST HAVE! Well made and great value.
