For the most part, I can't really find fault with this. I have not put it through much in the way of wind because even if it can withstand high winds, I am not sure I can hold onto an umbrella in a very stiff wind. Even a light wind generates significant force if it gets under the umbrella's downward curve so I'd hate to Mary Poppins into a tree during a raging windstorm. The only thing I'd consider as a real downside would be the velcro closure. It works fine, but a button or snap is less likely to pick up crud and stick to it.The umbrella, at least the times I've used it, sheds water well and dries fast. I haven't had any problems with it dribbling all over the floor after shaking it off outside. It is bigger (taller) than most. We store umbrellas in a short bucket at work once we get indoors and mine is twice as tall as any other, but this makes it easy to identify and grab on the way out, and harder to forget if it stops raining before you leave.

It’s very lightweight, yet it’s very sturdy against wind! The umbrella was way bigger than I expected. I thought it wouldn’t be that big although it said XXL, but this was completely out of pocket. This umbrella is probably best in the summer for shade because if it’s size and weight.

Great color and seems to be really sturdy. It is so light that with very little to no wind you are holding this umbrella down from flying away. It works well in light wind because toy can hold it straight with very little effort. It weighs a fraction of the weight of the small telescoping umbrellas.I used it in some heavy downpours and some very light rain in the last month and I am quite happy with it. It lives in my car for when I need it.It dries off super fast. A simple shake gets rid of most of the water and the few drops that stay on dry out quickly.

This umbrella is big and definitely will provide good shelter from the rain for my wife and I. Folded up, the umbrella doesn't seem any larger than any other full-size umbrella and it is very light...almost too light. The handle is made from a super light foam that feels comfortable to hold.I haven't had a chance to use the umbrella in the rain yet, but I think that it will do fine in a regular rainstorm. I'm not totally convinced that this will stand up to any kind of wind, but that has yet to be seen. Overall, right now, I'm happy with the umbrella, but if I have any problems with it, I won't hesitate to update this review to reflect any differing opinions that I might have in the future.

This review is for the Knirps U.900 Ultra Light XXL Manual Open Close Rain Umbrella with Non Slip Handle Umbrella. I have several light-weight umbrellas I keep in my luggage for travel and in the car but I wanted something to use that provides additional room under the canopy for the dog or another person. This umbrella is a good size, fairly lightweight with a decent canopy and a straight handle. Despite being a manual open and close, it functions easily. I can’t speak to performance in wind or rain yet but expect it to perform decently based on what appears to be good quality, but the current price of $79.95 is way too much compared to similar sized umbrellas found on Amazon…hence the 2 star deduction.

I've admittedly never heard of the Knirps brand before and was intrigued about this umbrella considering its unusually high price. After doing a little bit of research, I learned that it's apparently an established brand that has been around for some time. However I'm just going to be honest. Other than paying for the name brand, I see no reason why any umbrella should cost $80. Especially an umbrella with such a basic design as this one. Though I will say/admit that the umbrella is impressively lightweight for having such a large canopy and for its size in general. However, in my opinion, that's not enough to justify such a high price when so many other umbrellas also succeed at keeping people dry but at a significantly lower cost.If you are someone who is familiar with Knirps and have been satisfied with their products thus far, then this review likely means nothing to you. But for those who are looking for an umbrella and are considering this one, just know that it's no more or less successful than most other umbrellas in terms of creating a barrier between you and the open sky.

After seeing how much the brand focuses on quality and innovation, I was a bit confused as to how they simply disregarded what I would assume would be an extremely important yet so basic feature of any umbrella; the wrist strap. I may be getting a bit too worked up about this, but I really can't understand how the brand can boast about 120mph wind testing and all these other "features" making their product so high quality, yet there's no wrist strap to prevent the umbrella from parachuting out of your hands. After all, the fact that it can withstand 120 miles per hour winds, it my stand to reason that it's likely going to fly out of a person's hand pretty easily with a gust of strong wind. Also, the lack of the strap makes it so you have no way to store the umbrella on a any type of rack or hang it. It's truly uncomprehendable how something so simple can be missing from this umbrella. Other than this foolishly overlooked feature, the umbrella is easy to open and close, drys quickly, holds up to strong weather and is very durable.
