First of all: This experience is the only negative one we've had with Kohler. We've bought many faucets and bath accessories from them and have found that in those cases, they have stood by their products whenever problems have arisen. I'm writing this cautionary review because it represents a major investment, and I wish someone had written a "buyer beware" review before we bought our tub. It's two-toned, as you can see from the photos. The apron is a cream color while the rest of the tub is white. When I first noticed the inconsistency, I asked a sub-contractor if he saw anything strange about the tub. He immediately saw the color contrast, but suggested that it was a reflection from the mustard colored primer on the wainscoting on the walls. I was relieved by his explanation! However, once the shower surround was tiled and the wainscoting painted a Benjamin Moore bright white, it became clear that the coloring was a flaw in the tub. I contacted Kohler and they sent an "independent" contractor to our home to look at the tub. He looked at the tub and said, "No, it's a consistent color." He said that it would be impossible for the color to be inconsistent because the enamel is sprayed on the entire tub at once. He said that he's been reviewing Kohler products for thirty years. We became a little skeptical when I asked if he ever had found a problem with a Kohler product, and he said, "No." We found it quite remarkable that, in thirty years, every product he reviewed was perfect! Bottom line: Everyone who has no financial incentive to convince us otherwise agrees that in truth, the tub is not a consistent color.

Stunning quality! Very pleased with this tub. For the user who had a bad experience, well, it is bound to happen with any product. Ours came intact with a beautiful glossy finnish. One word of caution: HEAVY! This tub will require at least two professional deadlifters to bring it inside your home. It is also extremely difficult to lay it down in narrow spaces. A very challenging installation for sure. We purchased ours through eFaucet.com

This is a wonderful tub. Everyone who has seen this tub, ask specifically about it. It has beautiful lines and is very luxurious. I love Kohler and have purchased many of their products over the years. They have excellent customer service and have always stood by their products. . The first tub that was delivered was damaged(Kohler quality control missed this.) I called Kohler and they recommended to not take delivery. So I refused delivery. At this point Amazon stepped in and delivered a perfect tub one week later. Kudo's to Kohler and Amazon. I am very happy.

1 star for Kohler product quality control and customer service.5 stars for Amazon customer service. Not happy with the quality of the tub. The enamel glaze on the tub was very poorly done. The tub is very bumy and wavy and you can see through the enamel in some places. See attached pictures.I called Kohler first thing Monday morning and all they told be was to return it. There is nothing they can do. Their warranty only starts after the tub is installed. Which I don't get. Nice way to stay behind your products Kohler. I asked them if they can expedite a new tub out to me so that it wouldn't hold up my remodel for long. They said no. This would hold up my bathroom remodel at least another week. Kohler did nothing for me.Chris and Ariana with Amazon were very helpful in going through what my options were. Do not hesitate ordering a large item like a tub off Amazon. Their customer service is great.Just hesitate ordering Kohler products. Their quality control and customer service aren't so great.

I was originally going to buy the Villager tub, My wife wanted a soaker tub so I started looking at the options for a deep alcove bath. I finally settled for this one and I couldn't be happier. It's obviously a lot more expensive then then Villager and a lot of similar tubs like American Standard's Americast tubs for example, but it's definitely worth the extra money spent. This is a quality product that will most definitely outlast anything else in your bathroom. FYI this tub is heavy and you will need at the very least 3 very strong men and a couple dollies to get it in.
