Replaced two SCRs on a 50 year old welding machine, welder works good. The only difficulty was that the original SCRs had 1/2 " diameter mounting studs and were held on the heat sinks with nuts. These have a 16mm-2 stud. and that is shorter. The heat sinks needed to be counter bored and nuts were needed to mount them the SCRs. Counter boring could have been avoided If I had better information about the mounting stud and could have obtained a 16mm-2 tap before hand.
