I've played a lot of volleyball in my day with both leather and PU leather volleyballs. Of course leather is the best, but faux leather can be pretty good and very close. The faux leather on this is little bit on the slick side, it's should get better with more play time, but it will require more accurate control when setting the ball. I was going to use this to teach one of my kids some of the basics of volleyball, and the slickness will make it more difficult, but at least once he gets it he will set a regulation ball like a champ. The softness is just about right, not too hard and not too soft. I bumped this around outside for a while, and it reacts like a standard volleyball, so that's good. Everything good with this minus the slickness in terms of play. The ball was uninflated and wrapped in a snug plastic. Once I inflated it I noticed some very deep wrinkles on the ball. It shouldn't effect play, but all panels should be smooth. For the price ($23) there are a few better options. If you can get a good price, this is a decent ball for beginners.

Official size and weight volleyball with a killer color scheme. It feels very good, nice and soft, and it tells you how much to fill it up (PSI and BAR) right there at the inflation site. It doesn't seem to leak - it seems to retain the air really well. The only complaint that I have is that there were quite a bit of wrinkles left over from when the ball was deflated and folded up during delivery. Even after inflating it and letting it sit for a while, the wrinkles were still there. I'm hoping they'll go away with some play, and maybe they will; it's a great-looking volleyball aside from that. Regardless, it plays really well. I like the feel of it and it's the perfect size and weight and I LOVE the way it looks. Great for beach volleyball.

This is a multi-panel volleyball that has a nice touch and feel to it. It has individual panels with what appears to be solid stitches. I inflated it to 9lbs, but it had way too much bounce. I deflated it a little and it helped. The touch for a setter is soft and it has the correct weight. While it is not the top of the line professional volleyball, it is perfect for practice and pickup games. I have played volleyball for 25 years and I would definitely get this again.Update: A few days later the bounce is no longer as strong. It is just right. I am changing my rating because of it. This is a really nice ball

This ball has really went through alot and it's still going strong. It's not hard, like some volleyballs, so you won't damage your hands when slamming the ball down onto your opponents head. We've really enjoyed the ball.

The material on this volleyball is soft on my arms compared to the cheap ones that are less than $10. Great value.
