I had tried a less expensive 4K KVM switch and found that I had odd moving lines on my screen. Plus, when switching from one computer to the other, the time could be as long as 15 seconds. I really didnโt know why, and I didnโt want to spend an eternity trying to troubleshoot it. So this was available at the same time and I decided to give it a try. It is perfect. My setup is a 2020 M1 Mac Mini, and 2012 i5 Mac Mini, and an AOC 4K monitor. Aside from the sea of cables, the setup was easy. This unit switches between the 2 computers in less than 5 seconds which is nice. The screen image is as it was before. The only downside I see is that this unit requires power (that isnโt unusual), but the power is a 110v brick with an old-style connector (round.) I really wish this was energized with USB-C & a detachable USB power adapter. I see that the power brick is 12V-1A, so maybe the internal electronics couldnโt be powered up with a straight USB-C setup? Regardless, it all works, and Iโm thrilled.Ordinarily I take a nice set of photos before using/installing an item, but I was so eager to get this going that I set it up and had to take a photo there which is still messy because I havenโt done the regular cable management Iโd eventually do.Iโd gladly recommend this as it works, at least for me.โ
works as intended for my setupโ
nicely madeโ power brick a bit of a letdown.BOTTOM LINE: not cheap, but it works for meIโll update this review over time should things change.

Very easy to use, essentially 'plug & play'. everything connects firmly and is very low latency. You get the switch itself, two USB-A 3.0 cables and a wired button.Only disappointing thing is that no HDMI cables are included, and while the connections are firm, a tiny portion of the contacts remain visible (so...make sure you keep it in a dry spill free area.)you can toggle between computers on the switch itself, a very bright blue LED identifies "Computer 1", and a bright green LED identifies "Computer 2". You can also use the included dongle button that attaches to the switch via Micro-USB, it uses two green LED's located on opposite sides two identify the connected computer, small and very light....it;s main practicality is so you can stow the switch out of sight, you'll want some double sided tape to keep it from wandering. You can connect three USB-A devices for both computers to share, keyboard, mouse, and anything else USB-A you want both systems to share. The switch is essentially a hub and acts as a straight passthrough. Both my PC and Mac behave as if it doesn't exist....though Mac acknowledges the keyboard with an initial setup prompt, which is easily dismissed. There is no audio management, each computer uses it's own audio source...so convert to bluetooth speakers if you haven't already, or you'll need an audio splitter.

I've a few of these now via different listings. I didn't realize they were literally the same exact thing. These KVM are easy to hook up. Basically all of them in this price range (including the 3 like this I obtained) work the same. In general, KVM are KVM. Until you start getting "up there", price-wise that is, it's basically plug in a keyboard, mouse, couple extra usb things ... then on the outgoing side, HDMI and USB to the two computers. Then there's a button on the device and a wired "remote" button - which actually is really convenient for me.I'd like to point out that unlike many at this price range which have 4 input USB, this only has 3. It isn't the most ideal for my cases but these get by for my PIs and other mini computers. I wouldn't be able to use this on my main work machines. I have my desks (plural) littered with USB devices, hence multiple KVM. Sometimes they aren't even hooked up to computers but act as fancy hubs. I'm not sure how many people think of this but, it's better than using a hub + swith separate as it takes less space.

I work from home about 50% of the time. I used the run a second cable from my monitor for my work laptop and would have to change input source on my monitor as well as reach around the back of my PC tower to unpluh mouse and keyboard dongle to plug them into my work laptop. This became so tedious that I gave up after awhile and then only used my work laptop by itself. Using a touch pad is okay for short duration but was very annoying for long periods. Thus I finally decided that it is high time to get myself a KVM.Item is much smaller in person than I anticipated it to be (then again, I didn't even read the deminsions on it), but still works perfectly. This small formfactor makes it super easy to hide away and just run the remote control for it out to control. This makes it much better in my opinion since I don't need to find space for a large bulky KVM as was tradition.Items feels super durable and is working exactly as intended.Installing it is as simple as connecting your mouse and keyboard dongle (or wires) to it and then connecting your monitor to it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that when I made all my connections to it before connecting the power, this device can be powered by your PC via the usb cable. So no need to run an extra cable for its power. What comes in the package is the KVM itself, a power cable, and two USB male-to-male cables. HMDI is not included. My monitor only goes up to 100hz 4K, and using a 2.1 HDMI cable, it runs just fine at 100hz. So I have no doubt that the claims of running 8k 60hz or 4k 144hz is accurate. All in all, this is an awesome product that is well worth it if you only need to connect two computers to a single monitor.
