I installed a full set of KYBs on my '05 Subaru Forester with the stock springs. Overall the OEM shocks were softer. The compression dampening is harsh. This can make the ride a little rough. The rebound dampening is firmer as well but this an improvement over the OEM shocks. The car now handles better and stay flatter in corners. In terms of handling it is vast improvement compared to when the car was new.
