Bought this one because Scotty Kilmer said he trusts this brand. With Rockauto showing several choices, some as low as 25 bucks, I had to wonder how good are these choices? Well this brand looked like a good choice on price and seems like a reliable brand. We'll have to see how good it is in the long run. They arrived a day latter then I was told, but that was fast enough. They look as good as the OE ones I think. Kinda hard to tell as the OE ones are very old and the paints popping off from rust. There is a little wield spatter at the bottom where it seats into the knuckle. I hope this doesn't make it difficult to install as that is a tight fit.I am changing this part out because the last set I got from eBay caused the ride height to change. For some reason the "ready struts" that are solid everywhere use coil springs that are seven to eight twists. There are only six, seven if you count the top, on my original springs. I kept them from the last time I change them thinking I might get a coil compressor one day and swap the springs over next time.Be warned this is a dangerous procedure to do on your own without the right tools. There is a lot of potential energy in a compressed spring. If you try to take to top nut off without compressing the spring it will most likely be a bad day for you. This is the primary reason folks buy the ready to go ones. Also they come with all the new bits. Some also come with the top "cup" washer and nut. The trick is picking a good quality with the correct number of twist in the coil spring to maintain the OE ride height.Just to be clear, you DO NOT get the boots, urethane (wiper) bump stops, upper spring seat, top barring, rubber jounce bumper, "cup" washers and coil spring with this strut. There is a nylon lock nut on the top threads. It is not the OE nut for holding the upper spring seat or "cup" washer. I assume it's there primarily to protect the threads during shipping. If these parts are in good shape on the struct that's being replaced then reuse them. If not kits including most of these parts are also solid here. If your buying the strut you might know all this but it's possible this is a new thing your trying, if so good luck and be careful with that coil.

They had no packing material or anything in the box, so by the time they got to me the box had holes in it from bouncing around and one of the nuts that goes on the top end fell out of the box and was lost. They looked like they didn't even belong to the boxes they came in, one of the KYB stickers on them was so crooked, I could not tell if they were real KYB struts, or a cheaper brand with KYB stickers on them? So I installed them and they work fine. No worries.
