Ride Comfort may be important, but restoring a vehicle’s Ride Control; stability, stopping, lane change responsiveness and handling is critical. KYB Excel-G Shocks & Struts are designed for the most important performance purpose: Restoring the vehicle’s original capabilities. KYB is a world leading supplier of shocks and struts to new vehicle manufacturers and the Excel-G is made on the very same KYB OE assembly lines, uses the same OE quality components and is calibrated to restore original, designed performance, not change it. That has earned Excel-G the classification: OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket). The KYB Excel-G is a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube design that includes every quality component that our global OEM products include and it is the preferred choice for Asian vehicles.

Got these for my '03 Pathfinder rear window. Went on easy,no problem there. These things pack a pack a punch. I'd say they're a little too fast coming up. Gotta stand back or u just might get wacked by the glass!

These shocks are confirmed on the ad to fit a 2002 Infiniti QX4 4x4 and they do not! The mounting holes are too small and nothing that could be modified without damaging bushings to make them work. Had to pay a mechanic for his time because I didn't order the parts through him, but instead I received the parts that don't fit from the seller here. To the seller... are you going to pay my bill because you are providing misinformation on here????

These were easy to install and returned the factory smooth ride to our 2001 Infinti QX4

Ordered 2 of these. One was clearly upside down. They are the same for left and right. Same part number. One had the bolt holes upside down. Ordered a third assuming it was a one time quality control issue and it also came upside down. Had to order a 4th. Pretty absurd. I am a licensed mechanic. They’re definitely upside down. Seems KYB has gone the way of everyone else- China. Next time might have to splurge for the German ones unfortunately.

Perfect fit in 2001 Pathfinder. Ride is probably as good as when new, that I can remember. May be changing coils soon but just these shocks helped with the bottoming out issues that plagued this pathfinder.

I used these as replacement for the blown OEM shocks on a 2003 Pathfinder. They're the perfect balance of firm/pliant for on-road driving where the biggest obstacle is a speedbump or a pothole.Installation was definitely straight forward and did not require a lift at all. Merely park on a level surface and engage the parking brake (and chock the wheels for good measure). Unbolt the bad shocks (the springs will keep the truck 'lifted' while you do this), and install the lower bolt first. The shocks come 'wrapped' in a plastic band that keeps them from expanding. Cut this after the first bolt is on and it will slowly expand upwards. Use this time to guide it into position and insert the bolt at the top. Tighten it all with a torque wrench and move on to the other side. Takes barely an hour start-to-finish.

This was purchased for a 2001 Qx4, rear shocks.I was looking to upgrade my suspension to be a little more stiff. When inspecting these shocks, I noticed that it was relatively easy to compress these shocks. I interpreted that as soft dampening capability by these shocks. However, after having exchanged these shocks with the KYB monotube Gas-A-Just shocks, I think these would have sufficed, as I also upgraded my coil springs all around to some stiffer coils. All these shocks would really do is just prevent my truck from bouncing all over the place and I believe these shocks would have been able to do that just fine. The ride with the Gas-A-just equivalent shocks seem a little too stiff, but tolerable. I can't say for sure if these GR-2 shocks would have made for a bit more softer ride, but I wouldn't doubt that they'd function just fine with me new stiffer coils. As KYB advertises, I agree that these are good OEM replacements to the shocks that came from Nissan/Infiniti factory.
