Installed on 1970 Mercury Monterey. They are much firmer than OEM spec shocks, but that works well in the car. They are 2.5 in longer than OEM spec shocks, which was necessary with the taller rear springs (ro give the car a more level look). Installation was easy.Must reuse the bottom mounting bolt that's in the car. Hardware and rubber bushings for top mount were included.

Had installed as a pair both sides on 2002 Rav4. Shocks works well to dampen the bounce on new coils. ( Reviewed coils on its own page ).Why 3 star? This shock does NOT include bottom mounting bolt.I had blasted the oem bottom installed bolt with wd40 to help it come out. Was going to use pb blaster which works better. I was concerned decades of wear the bolt would be frozen. My mechanic said everything went well. Next day driving the bottom bolt broke off.I pushed the shock back on its mount and 5 mph limped the car back. My mechanic got the broken bolt piece out and reinstalled my shock because: he saved old bolts when installing new shocks that COME with new bottom bolts. He said pretty hard and hassle to get oem bolt from dealer if they had it. I wanted to pay for the other bolt to be replaced but he did not even have another. So $20 and a handshake for getting me back on the road.Get NEW bottom bolts if you buy this shock.

Perfect shock for the RAV4, not too stiff as some have said... do not over tighten the upper bushing, you want it where it just begins to compress. Do not forget to inspect your coil springs closely, specially the right-rear on the RAV4 is usually broken near the top.

All hardware included! Fit my 2005 Rav4 perfectly. I have a 1.5" spacer lift installed and these helped improve the ride and make it less bouncy. The white also looks pretty cool on the car. Great price and fast shipping!

Great product; arrived a few days after ordering. Easy to install. I would give it five stars if it came with the bolts for the bottom of the shock. I had to re-use the old ones. Other then that, no complaints.

I replaced the factory original rear shocks on my 2004 Rav4 that were leaking with these shocks. I looked high and low for Monotube shocks which is an upgrade in performance to the OEM Twin Tube that came with the vehicle. These were a piece of cake to replace, actually didn't even have to jack the vehicle if I didn't want to but since I also replaced the rear rotors and brake pads I did jack it up. The only issue I have is they don't give you all the replacement hardware and you are forced to reuse some old washers. They give you 2 bushings and 3 metal washers, the problem is each rubber bushing requires 2 metal washers that sandwich the bushings, and thats at the top of the shock, they don't give you any metal washers for the bottom of the shock so I had to reuse all that hardware which consists of inner and outer washers with a bolt. Wasn't a big deal but wonder why they don't offer all the hardware to be replaced? The ride is much firmer and the rear end sits higher, much more comfortable ride and for the price and how easy they are to replace these are well worth it. After much research these were rated among the best over some name brands such as Gabriel and Monroe, the reviews of these are hands down much better. Lifetime warranty is nice to know that it won't cost me anything should one fail which I don't anticipate..

First I'd like to start off but saying that the shipping arrived sooner than expected. I live in California and it shipped in 3 days. That was a great start to a hopefully awesome product (fingers crossed).Secondly, unboxing the shocks from the packaging was a quick process no more than 30 seconds. The shocks out the box look "sporty" and lightweight. It came with extra washers, nuts, and instructions.Third, installation was under an hour. It did not take much labor, just mostly quick fingers and hands to unbolt old shocks off and bolt in new shocks. After installation of shocks, I took my car for a quick drive and I must say the driving feel changed by 20% more of a sport feel. The back end has a noticeable less body roll and more grip.Lastly, I would recommend a new alignment, play with your tpms for best handling settings. And so overall these KYB GAS A JUST shocks are worth every single penny. Go buy yourself a set and experience my past experience first hand.

Replaced the shocks in my 2005 RAV4 at 110K miles after my mechanic did strut and sway bar links on the front end. He advised me it was an easy DIY and not to pay him full parts price and labour to do it.I took his advice, and got these KYB to match the feel of the KYB struts I had on the front. Easy DIY driveway install, took under an hour. All parts you need are included, or you can reuse the existing nuts and support washers as well. Much stiff than the original OEM shocks and a much tighter ride and less "floating" and ABS activation when braking on rough terrain.
