I purchased these along with the rears to match for my 2000 Ram 1500 and could not be happier with my choice. These are what this truck should have had from the factory. On this particular truck I was replacing the factory mopar units in the rear (which still were functioning slightly!) with 150k miles on them, and some el cheapo monroe gas matics up front (not my choice and in worse condition than the factory units!). The difference is astounding, these make the truck corner MUCH smoother and more controlled, as well as giving a great ride that isn't too soft or too stiff for a daily driven truck. I ran off road to do some tests with larger bumps and dips, and they performed great there as well. Stayed consistent and kept the truck controlled, and most importantly I wasn't getting bounced all over in the cab. I highly recommend these for daily driven trucks, and the upgraded Monomax's for someone looking for a little more off road capability and a slightly stiffer ride.

Since these replaced the original shocks on a 17 year old truck, this may not be the best barometer of performance. That said, the truck shows notable improvement and drives great.

I've always had good luck with KYB gas shocks, I just don't think they can be touched for the money. They have always improved the handling on any vehicle I have installed them on, from a Trans-Am to a Ram truck, these work well.

shocks are worse than the broken ones i removed. truck was bouncing all over road. i took them off and installed monroe gas magnum shocks which wer heavier duty and now the truck is like brand new.
