These went in a lot easier than my rear shocks did. Just unbolt it, slide it out, and bolt it back in. The only real gripe I have about these is the instructions are pretty much useless. It's kind of an all shock install guide, but you can't really tell what they're trying to convey. At any rate, I got them installed on my 02 S10 Extreme and man was it a huge improvement over the OEM ride quality. It's a way smoother ride and not nearly as jarring as the original shocks. Highly recommend.

I think these are for the 4 cy engine. I have the 4.3L engine and they are just not strong enough. Either that or i got bad batch. Very little improvement from bad ones these replaced. I will have to order different ones.

Have had these on the rig for a while now and really like the ride and the handleing...might get some for the rear too..

These shocks are exactly what I was looking for. I hate buying shocks due to past experiences with Monroe and Gabriel shocks being to soft (springy) or to stiff and give a rough ride. I really wanted the Bilsteins but just couldn't let go of that much money. These ride awesome. The truck handles so much better and soaks up bumps that I usually avoid on my daily commute. You can not beat these for the price. Especially when they were half the price of bilsteins. I will differently buy KYB's again.

Bought these shocks to replace my worn out shocks on my 02 chevy s10. I still can't believe the difference in ride quality with these shocks. I was debating between the bilsteins, gas-a-just, and monomax, but couldn't pass up the price on these (36 bucks each). This was my first time installing shocks on my truck and it was super easy. Took about 15 minutes per shock as I used a torque wrench to tighten the 3 bolts. When removing your old shocks, you might want to spray some lubricating oil to loosen the bolts because they can be tough to remove from all the dirt. Total for all 4 KYB shocks was about 150 with free shipping. They have been installed for about a month now with no problems. 5/5
