I've used a P-Touch for years, and, now that my kids are away at college, I thought I would give them my old unit and treat myself to a new label maker.First off, I was surprised at how BIG the Vixic label maker is! I had the impression it would be a big handful, instead it's the size of half a brick and nearly as heavy. Admittedly, it accepts a lot more sizes of label tape than my old machine, but my old machine is no bigger and includes its own full keyboard!Still, this one prints graphics and stuff, right? Well, I'm not particularly impressed with that, either. My old machine gave pretty nice, crisp letters. This one gave wonky print even on the very first, tutorial printing. See the "Hello, Aanna" in my photo? That was this machine trying to impress me with its first print. Looks to me like two different fonts and neither of them well-formed. The cupcake, which was my own test print, looks very pixelated.Add to that that you need to use an app that requests access to a whole lot of info from my cellphone... I'm just not enamored.Yes, it works. One could say it works well. The app was easy to download, and I could use its basic functions without too high a learning curve. I can't say it's a bad device at all. I'm just not in love with it enough to throw my old device out.

There’s a QR code on the top that links to their app, and the app sets up super easily (less than 30 seconds) and printed out a cute “Hi Erin” label when set up. I like that you can print out QR codes, bar codes, text labels, and more. Comes with a starter roll of labels that I haven’t run out of after labeling most things in the pantry. Really great product with an effortless UX.
