This was a very good kit for absolute beginners. Instructions included weren’t great but the video that you scan was helpful. I’ve watched hours of you tube videos that have helped me also. Really great yarn to work with as a beginner. It doesn’t fray or unravel. Included everything you need to start crocheting.

I have seen a lot of crotchet kits targeted to ‘beginners’ that aren’t beginner friendly. This isn’t one of them. This kit is perfect for beginners and the tutorials are great! So happy I got this and I will get this for friends wanting to learn how to crotchet!

The videos are super helpful and find myself rewinding the videos until I get it, because well I’m a total beginner! This kit comes with everything you will need to begin to crochet, needle markers, the hook, and the yarn (which is really nice) and can watch the videos and rewind the videos as well until you can understand which is great when you’re a beginner!!! Luckily the yarn is forgiving and durable because I have ripped out my stitches several times already but going back to the videos as I have watched 3 and 4 several times already. I’m slow as I’m learning!! But this kit is great for beginners and adults and I’d say maybe 10-99 in age range and would make a great gift!!!!

I learned to crochet years ago when I was a kid but it never really clicked for me. Probably because I’m left handed and my instructor just said “do everything backwards.” The videos that come with this kit are excellent for left handed beginners! It wasn’t to normal “this is how it’s different for you” the videos just take an approach of “this is how you crochet left handed.”I was able to finish my first rug in a few hours. My daughter is now using it for her dolls and loves it! My only complaint is I couldn’t find the level 2 kit and I want to keep learning asap! But I’ll keep practicing until then!

I crochet but have not taught someone to and wasn’t sure where to start. The other kits seem to be good if u have basic experience and were a struggle teaching with for those who are starting from scratch. Due to my kids and cousins wanting to do the more advanced kits, they needed good foundational knowledge. This kit was perfect for that. We had to take a few breaks and come back but after one day they have a good foundation. We completed the first line as pictured. The next steps should be easy. I like that the videos are very clear and teach in a good order; tools, slip knot, chain, and double crochet, then u start the project. The booklet has good pictures too. This is by far the best kit if you’re looking to teach a very beginner. I taught my 11 year old with this.Update: we finished the project easily! My 8 year old was able to with help as well.

Compared to other beginner kits, the yarn that came with this one was great for learning stitches, although I did not access the learning material provided
