Premium quality LEVEL5 Skimming Blades come in a variety of lengths up to 48" and feature a flexible, high precision 0.3mm blade inserted into a rigid extruded aluminum or plastic composite blade housing. These tools are outstanding for smoothing out fresh drywall compound with even distribution.

Patented Blade Edge Design
1. Most blade edges are stamped out with sharp corners, which is not ideal for mud flow. LEVEL5 skimming blades have a rounded profile on the front edge, allowing for smoother compound application compared to competitors.
2. The unique shape of the LEVEL5 skimming blade insert reduces lap marks by raising the edge at both ends and rounding the corners. This is especially beneficial when smoothing out larger areas.

A product this expensive ( I know about metal manufacturing and they're definitely not short on profits here) should have a protective case with each product. At least a box that can be reused, but the box it comes in is not one you can repeatably open and close and therefore, unless you can find some special rack to keep these on, they will get damaged and replacement blades are NOT affordable, using the matrix that they cost nearly as much as the entire tool. It's a good product, well designed, but don't gouge people by making it impossible to maintain it, these are going to be used on construction sites for goodness sakes!
